Well, that was interesting...we ordered three different dishes as takeout today to enjoy back home after a long day up North. One of them was chicken fajitas with flour tortillas. It was a long journey back home to Phoenix, and all the way we were so looking forward to the delicious-smelling fajitas. Imagine our surprise when we got home and discovered that there were no tortillas with our order!
This was disappointing, as it wasn't the first time that we have had missing tortillas, or the wrong type of tortilla (corn vs. flour), when ordering from Lindo. We called to let them know, so that they could perhaps correct the situation in the future for us and other customers by alerting the kitchen staff to the issue.
The person that we spoke to was very sympathetic, and asked if we could stay on the line and speak to the manager, and she suggested that they could possibly offer us some compensation. We agreed, although compensation was not what we were looking for, just an opportunity to alert the staff to an ongoing problem, because we really enjoy their food, but won't be able to continue patronizing them if the orders are always wrong or incomplete.
We were transferred to the manager, and that's where things sledded downhill fast. She suggested that it was our responsibility to check our order to make sure it was correct before leaving the restaurant, and let us know that when it's a "busy time for the staff", mistakes can happen, and we really don't know if she had another point to make, or was making it by hanging up, as the call was abruptly disconnected at that point.
Luckily, there are several other Mexican restaurants in the greater Prescott area that also have good food AND can manage to get a few tortillas into a takeout bag. We'll be going to those and skipping Lindo's...
Read moreFirst time trying this restaurant based off of Google recommendation of the best Mexican food in Prescott Valley. We were seated pretty quickly for a Friday night, and the place was packed. They did accommodate our request to sit in a booth rather than a table for two which was nice. I know the restaurant was busy, but our service initially was pretty slow, my wife asked how many ounces were in the flight of margaritas and she had to check which then resulted in me getting my skinny margarita and having to sit and wait for the waitress to come back, answer her question and then submit the drink order. The food good, although I had a piece of crab shell in my seafood chimichanga. Luckily, I bit down flat on it, not up and down,or that would’ve hurt my gum or tooth. I did tell the waitress about it. She said she would mention it to the manager… She then proceeded to bring our check at the end, and I asked her again. “Did you talk to the manager about it “ and she said “yes I told him”. This manager couldn’t be bothered to come over and check in with my table. See if I need anything, possibly offer us a comp dessert or something for the inconvenience, it was a decent size piece if I would’ve not chewed on it and swallowed I could’ve choked on it. I found it strange kind of seemed like they really didn’t care. Not sure we will go back although we probably will because the drinks were great! Just don’t order the seafood chili if you don’t like pieces of crab shell in your food. ...
Read moreGot takeout for 2, I live less then 5 minutes away, so I though this would be a nice treat for my husband. I ordered a Chimichanga with shredded beef for me. When I got home it was burrito with very spicy dry beef that overpowered the whole meal. The tortilla was soggy, nothing was visually appealing and lacked full flavor. I could only eat 2 bites before chucking it out. Sorry, I like moist juicy shredded beef that taste like beef where the flavors intermingal with traditional spices and where my chimi tortilla is crispy, not found here. The beans were almost white and runny no texture and the rice was undercooked. No cheese on anything, but there was sourcream. My husband wanted a burrito, he couldn't finish it, no authentic Mexican flavor very dry and not flavorful, again no cheese. What's with no cheese? Plus when we got home the food was very cold. He had to microwave it.. I wonder how long they held it before giving it to me. That could count for it being soggy. If we ate in we would of returned the food and gone to eat at Casa Perez. Casa Perez is a 15 min drive from me when I order out from them, the food is still very warm by the time a get home. Overall, with tip it was $30 that I'll never get back. The only upside was the waitress was great. She gets the 5 stars the...
