If you’re looking for an incredible teppanyaki experience, Sakura in Prescott Valley is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. The energy in the restaurant was lively, and our grill master absolutely stole the show — he was hilarious, engaging, and kept everyone laughing the entire time. The food was phenomenal! I ordered the steak and scallops, and both were cooked to absolute perfection — tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. The kids had a blast, too, because the whole experience is very interactive. Between the chef’s tricks, the flying utensils, and the bursts of flame on the grill, there was never a dull moment at the table. One thing to note: it’s definitely on the louder side, so this isn’t the place for a quiet, intimate conversation. But if you’re there to have fun, enjoy amazing food, and soak up a lively atmosphere, it’s perfect. We sat and had sushi in the dining room before and there is no sound barrier between the rooms, so that can get loud too. We left full, happy, and already talking about what we want to try next time. Can’t wait to go back!

You have to experience the hibachi grill with Aaron at least once! The energy he gives makes the experience that much better. We visited the first official day they were open, they had a soft open the day before. We did the hibachi grill with someone who was mediocre. Nothing bad but also not memorable. But he did make the best rice! Well a few days later we had family visiting so we decided to take them back, literally just for the rice lol Well Aaron was a great chef. He made sure to involve everyone. Our senior parents, my teenage niece and even our one year old son. You won’t regret it! Also keep in mind it’s customary to tip the chef cash. That tip is just for him. The one left on the receipt is for all staff to split. And yes that is fire in his hat as he continues to act completely normal.

Initially, we were thrilled to try this restaurant due to its convenient location, but our experience was disappointing. As avid sushi fans, we were drawn to the mango roll, but it failed to meet our expectations, especially when compared to the exceptional mango roll at Harumi. The pork gyoza was satisfactory but unremarkable. The toro lover roll lacked the distinct flavors of mango and jalapeño, tasting more like sushi from Fry's. Even the spicy salmon roll, ordered as a standard measurement, was underwhelming. We are hesitant to return or give it another try, as the food lacked authenticity and the quality we expect from Japanese cuisine.

A couple days ago me and my boyfriend wanted to stop by this restaurant because we were initially very excited about a new hibachi place opening up and I’ve heard my good things about it. We ended up ordering the chicken, steak, and shrimp for two. The cook was pretty entertaining at first, i noticed that for the proteins he had two cuts of small but thick steak and one long thinner steak. The woman next to me ordered just steak and veggies and ordered hers medium well, i ordered Mine medium, and the boyfriend ordered his medium rare. The boyfriend gets his steak first and it was from the thicker small steak. So mine comes next and mind you me and him ordered the same thing because it was a combined “deal”- the cook then cut the thin steak in half and served it to me- than to the woman he took the rest of the thin steak and then the other small thick steak. I make A comment to my boyfriend thinking that was weird- i didnt Make a big deal out of it I also didn’t say anything to the guy because it wasn’t that big of a deal, and when the cook got done with the chicken he makes a comment out loud “here you go- fair and square like the government” and puts a portion of the chicken on my plate. I’m not sure if this was supposed to be a joke or a passive aggressive comment but it didn’t sit right with me. To me- i am Coming to an establishment to have fun from work- spending money, which i work hard for. Spending $70+ on two people is a lot to me. In my opinion this was just unprofessional and made me feel...

Sakura was a wonderful addition to our small town! The food was amazing! There were several new rolls that weren't apart of other places' menus, but they were missing some of my favorites. Prices were very fair and competitive with other local restaurants, so just because it's a new spot, they didn't take advantage of the new spot price. There's a dining area as well as the teppan tables. If you want a show to go with your meal, then definitely take advantage! There is a teppan exclusive menu, so be aware of that before going in. I'm a plain person, so I stuck to standard dining. The yakatori chicken was amazing, and you could get the smoky/savory taste from the wok in the sauce and chicken! Extremely tender and perfectly seasoned. If you love sashimi like I do, then this place will meet your standards. Very fresh, perfectly sliced portions. I didn't want any special plating, so it came fast, even though it was busy. What's more amazing is having that type of restaurant so close to home! My only complaint was the seating by the entry. They need to install a small divider so the air flow doesn't disturb the table, and to keep other patrons from being right next to the table. That's not an exaggeration, they can literally stand next to the dining table because the wait staff/hostess is right next to the door and customers wait there to be seated. If you're unlucky enough to be seated there, it's uncomfortable and definitely awkward. Other than that, I enjoyed my visit, and look forward to...

The food and service is amazing. BUT.

One of the chefs there is so overwhelmingly obnoxiously loud and nonstop extra that it is impossible to enjoy your meal if you’re at a neighboring table. I’m sure it’s great if he’s YOUR chef but he makes it so much about him and his table that the entire experience is miserable. He’s at a 12 when you need him to be at a 2, especially in such a small space. Several older folks at surrounding tables were adjusting their hearing aids or taking them out because it was just too auditorily overwhelming.

The air conditioning cannot keep up with all those people and grills in a small space either.

We had company in town and thought it would be a great treat to take them there for dinner but we couldn’t talk to each other. We had to SCREAM to be heard and the waitress even got my order wrong bc she couldn’t hear me. I don’t want to scream to talk to my friends. We finally just sat there and stared at each other bc we couldn’t hold a conversation. We even texted a reply to each other at one point. It was quite disappointing bc it was supposed to be a birthday dinner. We just wanted out of the echo chamber! Words cannot describe how loud it is!

Great food and service but it’s like being in a 140 decibel rock concert mixed with a...
