Speed's Hangar Deli — Restaurant in Prescott

First time going here, and it will be the last. The restaurant is very small, dark, and cluttered with papers/photos on the wall. Some sort of mesh hanging from the ceiling with dried flowers (?) tucked in it. Only 1 person was working, and I am guessing she was the owner. We waited 5 minutes to put in our order, and since we hadn't been there before, we weren't sure how what the choices were because the menu was not that clear. I asked for a BLT, and had my finger on the middle one. The lady said, "just tell me the name". Meaning the plane-themed names for each style of BLT. I asked if there was options of sub-length, because the menu showed something about 6, 8, & 12 inches. But I guess that is for a baguette only. My friend wanted a turkey on sourdough but thought it would be a sub. The owner rudely said "That's not how it works. Just tell me what sandwich I am making" my friend also wanted Mac salad. We asked for it to go, waited about 5 minutes, and she said it was ready. I asked how much it was. Her response was "Well, give me a minute to ring it up, I'm not magic". The sandwiches were very good. The Mac salad was very runny and not good. I'm not sure how someone can run a business and treat customers the way she did. I will never go back, nor...

This is a very disappointing place. This establishment presents itself as a supporter of military and first responder well after you read this you might think like me.

My Son is a paramedic, and he went into speedy deli with his EMT partner to grab lunch during their shift. While waiting for their food they received a 911 call in prescott valley for a life threatening illness and of course Murphy's law the calls never stop after that. Couple days later they return back to speedy deli for lunch. The owner said you are the 2 guys that left without paying for your food , my son said we did not get our food unfortunately we had to leave on a 911 call . The owner was yelling loudly even with other customers sitting there eating watching . She kept saying I lost out on 20.00 of food that you guys ordered that I had to throw away.

My son offered to pay her but she was so irate that they just left to avoid conflict. It's amazing how some businesses use military and first responders as a business gain promotion to make money . (Damn Hypocrites) speedy deli is Starbucks's little sister..... Dump Speedy Deli do not eat here communist...

Speed's is a really a unique place. First, the food is outstanding. You can taste that everything is fresh and they don't skip out on quality. This is reflected in the price, but it's really worth every cent. I speak very highly of their Russian sauce, as well as the avenger sandwich. Service is very friendly and they're always working hard behind the counter. Now for the atmosphere. I'd go just to look at all the history this place has on the walls. Seriously, it's like a mini museum. Everything from hand written letters from spouses during WWII to unique Vietnam fighter jets photos. It's incredible! Finally, some small dosnsides. It's a bit pricey, if you're on a budget, though some sandwiches are good for 2 meals. Sometimes when they're swamped with work, kindness becomes a secondary in their service, which I understand, but I think it could be worked on. Overall, it's the best place in Prescott to...
