This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Inland Northwest. We can’t even count the number of times we’ve eaten here. We tell all our friends and family to stop here when doing a day trip. It’s the perfect stop on your way to water or from water in the summer. The outdoor patio is always a fun environment with all the families that stop here to eat. The staff are always friendly and the service is very prompt. The portions are very generous and unless you’re getting a single item, any combination plates are enormous platters. The price is wonderful for the volume of food you get, even on the kids menu. The flavors and quality of the food are especially wonderful. You won’t be disappointed.

Another winner here in Priest Lake. An affordable and tasty meal with HUGE quantities and great prices. My wife wasn’t very hungry so she ordered alacarte a chili relleno and vegetarian tamale while I got the small combination with a chicken enchilada and a relleno. She was shocked at the size of the two items she got and my small combo was so large, I wondered how big the large combination would be. But it was all good and we both loved the relleno and the chicken enchilada. The veggie tamale was ok but not great. Service was excellent and friendly. We do recommend Mi Pueblo highly!!

Good value portion size, though prices have risen significantly. Thankful they did not skimp on the portions. Service very good, timely and friendly. However, scored low as their margarita was not up to par. Tasted overly sour and bitter. It was blended, but the foam on the top was bubbly as if the glass was not rinsed of soap proper. Just something was not right with the flavor and appearance. Food was wonderful as expected

UPDATE: I returned for my fix and was extremely pleased to receive exactly what I ordered as I had so many times prior to my last visit. The food is amazjngand I am addicted! The lady that was argumentative last time was not there when I got my food and I'm hoping that she is still employed and has studied the memur and worked on her customer service skills. Thank you for an excellent dinner ( and lunch the next day) you guys and gals are amazing!!

I have ordered dinner from here many times I always get the same thing the enchilada chicken shredded and it's always been amazing but for some reason tonight when I ordered it I received a half of cup of shredded chicken maybe in a tortilla that looks like it had been patched with another tortilla some enchilada sauce and that was it in the past I've always had lettuce sour cream tomato and I've never had to ask for that it's always come with it so I called to ask what the confusion was with my order and why this is what I received and the lady just wanted to argue I wasn't even able to tell her I just wanted to find out the confusion so that I ordered the right thing next time because she just kept talking over me and telling me about what number it was on the menu well I told her I didn't want to argue with her about it and I hung up I would have left three stars it's always been amazing however when you call and they just want to argue the one lady ruined the third star when I just wanted to Simply find out what to order next time to get what I always get and I've always ordered the same way like I said usually it's amazing I'm just disappointed tonight and more so because of being not being able to find out what it is that I need to order next time. I do not like leaving bad reviews. I have worked in the food industry in the past and realize things happen however if a customer calls you wanting to know what the correct enchilada was that I thought i was ordering and all you do is talk over the customer and tell her she is wrong she never gets what she is trying to tell you that she has ordered a thousand times before and only wants to know what she needs to say next time to get the dinner she was craving badly, then you earned the review. And lost a loyal customer. I will return to the Ponderay location where i have eaten for years and enjoyed many conversations with the family that owns all 3 locations. I met the family while i was a server at sweet lous and i would always stay late for their late night family dinners and or birthday celebrations because i wanted my customers to enjoy themselvesand tbeir experience so they didnt leave with a bad taste in their mouths , sort of .speak. i wish the lady that took my order and call the best. I also hope she remembers this review and the experience she provided me for a long time so she may not repeat it with another customer! Again usually the food here...

Granted, this place is very north of the Mexico border so my expectations weren't high. Chips and salsa were nothing spectacular but they also provided their version of pico de gallo which was exceptional! I only wish they presented it in a bowl vs a cup saucer so scooping some onto my chips was easier. We ordered a pork verde burrito and a shredded beef chimichanga. Not much of a selection of meets, no al pastor. The burrito looked fantastic and I really wish I had ordered it for myself as I was presented with a very small, barely fried version of a chimichanga. Problem #1. Despite being asked if I wanted chicken or shredded beef (I went with the beef), the child sized fried burrito was filled with hamburger. Not shredded beef. #2. I have yet to figure out what they season their ground beef/hamburger with but it's not right. It's odd. Not horrible but not good either....it wasnt flavored for Mexican food and I think if it was paired correctly with something else it would've been.....eh, ok. I let the server know and despite a short stint (language barrier?) of saying it was beef as if I ordered it that way vs. SHREDDED beef (she only gave me 2 options, as the menu indicated) she replaced the dish with no problem. I was secretly hoping to switch it with a regular burrito but she took the plate, with my knife, and ran....couldn't even ask for the margarita I had decided to get. While waiting for my replacement we observed a gentleman who had come in to appearantly do some work and he moved from table to table 3x touching the silverware. Rude and unsanitary even pre-covid but especially now! Chimmi arrived, sans my knife, and this was 100x better then the previous one. Still light on the deep fry but it really good. Still needed some hot sauce as, well, this is Way Up North and they dont get the access to really good south of the border peppers and spices but I cant knock them for that I mean really, the location isn't far from Canada-what did...

I was very excited after reading the reviews as Mexican is my favorite... I was more than underwhelmed... I had the Arroz con Pollo which is supposed to be their signature dish and the rice was very mushy. I also had a taco, and I could have gotten a much better one at Taco Bell. In fact none of it was any good... My wife had carne asada and bacon wrapped prawns and it was less than mediocre... I'm being very generous with two stars! Fool me once, fool me twice, fool me three times... Went back a couple more times just cuz I do love Mexican food and it's a pleasant drive from where I live in Sandpoint... Every time the food, service, and atmosphere were garbage.... Had originally given them a two-star, like I said earlier just to be generous but I had to knock it down to one... It's a shame, because Mexican is far and away my favorite. In fact, every time I go on a road trip or travel, the first place I look for is the best Mexican food around.... I see most reviews swear by this place. Well I swear at it......
