I stopped by the Biscuit Barn because, well… if a place has biscuit in the name, you expect them to knock it out of the park. So I ordered the biscuits and gravy, hoping for a Southern classic. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. The gravy was thin and watery, more like a broth with a good pepper kick, and the sausage was so finely ground it reminded me more of taco meat than breakfast sausage. The biscuits were buttery, but not soft or fluffy. Honestly, canned biscuits might’ve been better.
Now, credit where credit’s due: the cherry amaretto ice cream my wife ordered was fantastic. You could tell it was homemade, rich, and full of flavor. I’d go back just for the ice cream without hesitation.
The service was friendly, and our waitress was super upbeat and talkative which we really appreciated. The place was also clean and welcoming, though I left unsure what the Biscuit Barn is trying to be. A diner? An ice cream shop? A restaurant with a little of everything?
Bottom line: not the biscuit experience I was hoping for, but the ice cream and service were definite highlights. Just maybe skip the biscuits and head straight...

They're thinner than I expected but taste SO fluffy. There are many options to choose from, and it's affordable. So far, I have tried their ribeye biscuit, fried bologna, biscuit & gravy, and an omelet scrambler - all of which are full of flavor. Inside, you can order to go or dine in - someone will come wait on you at your table - while they also have a drive-thru. They're working on a new menu board outside, so you just pull up to the window, and they will give you a menu you can order from (and keep). Hoping they expand to...
Read moreI went to this place thinking wanted to support local business.
I paid $7.50 for a small milkshake which is really high but then I waited 15 minutes when I was their only customer. I then looked in the window to find all three employees talking doing nothing. They wouldn’t even look my way. So after $7.50 and almost 20 minutes of my time when it was 88 degrees outside where they made me wait “I received nothing”
What a joke this spin off a tattoo studio this place is. Rip off, what a crime this experience was...
I suggest no one ever...
