Los Agave’s Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Princeton

So I ordered take out but my daughter went and ate inside with her friends. I ordered half order (single order) of Jalisco fajitas and a small cheese dip. After finally getting the food, it was okay except there were a ton of onions and like 3 pieces of shrimp, very little steak, and chicken more than the other meats. I expected more especially after the horrible experience I had even ordering take out. Literally took an hour to do so. Finally, my daughter ordered my take out while she was in the restaurant. This is what happened to lead up to her finally ordering. First time I called, he took my order and understood. I ask for a total. He said $27 and some change. I ask him to explain how my total was so high. He didn’t know I already knew the price on the menu. He explained but had raised the prices up enough it mattered. I told him that was not correct and told him the prices on the menu. He finally said hold on. I was holding for nearly 20 minutes before I hung up. I called back. Another guy answered. I placed my order with him and ask for the total. He gave me the total of $20 and some change. I explained to him that his total wasn’t correct. Granted his total was just a few dollars too much; at this point, it was the principal for me. He said oh and then he hung up on me. This is why my daughter who was in the restaurant ordered my food and even she had trouble with them. Absolutely the worst customer service experience ever. The workers were very friendly and helpful and the food came out fast. The portion sizes were huge and overall all the food was good.

I had the (D.) Vegetarian Combo: 1 cheese quesadilla, 1 bean burrito, & 1 spinach & cheese enchilada + a side of rice & beans + guacamole casero.

The guacamole casero was delicious! Would definitely order this again & again.

The rest of the food was mostly seasoned well, except for the spinach & cheese enchilada. The spinach and sauce was bland

Although the food was generally seasoned well, it was rather monotone in flavor (minus the casero & spinach enchilada - everything mostly tasted the same.) It wasn't as flavorful as authentic Mex food I've eaten throughout AZ & CA.

The food wasn't exactly 4 stars, but the excellent customer service, & amazing guacamole casero, definitely earned them more...

I placed a to-go order yesterday for 2 Nachos Supremos just before noon and the total came to $29 and some change. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I picked up the order inlets than 15 minutes and it was already tied up and waiting on the counter for me. I drove the food just down the street, less than an eight of a mile and went in to eat with my boss. The meat and cheese toppings on the nachos were cold and the meats, especially the ground beef, tasted like day old meat that was barely heated and the chicken was cold and possibly reheated, as well. We barely touched our food and I might as well have set fire to that $30 of my hard earned money. Totally...
