The look and feel of the interior is not what one might expect from the unremarkable strip-mall exterior, a cool mix of supper club and something from Goodfellas. Service was decent overall, but some oddities that would be nit-picky-ish to post, but resulting in service rating under the 4.1. Perron's has a nice selection of cocktails, wine and food choices. Dinners were generally good, but all four of our party (4 separate items) noted high levels of salt; not to a level of inedible, but enough to lower the quality and wonder about why at restaurant of this level? Likely it was a one-off. Note: the dish pictured was a special, so not on the menu. Dessert was quite good. IMO, lower the salt content and this review likely changes to a 5-star. Salt can be added. That said still worth a visit, we will be back.

I’ve been to Sul Lago more times than I can count, and I’ve never had a bad experience. Hands down the best Italian spot south of the river, consistent, welcoming, and always delicious. The staff is top-notch, Shauna, Zeke, Julie, and Jared make you feel right at home and always deliver great service. Some of my favorites: Chicken Parmesan – absolutely to die for and large portion Steaks – cooked perfectly every time and great plain or with Sul Lago sauce Bruschetta, mussels, salads – flavorful and fantastic starters Delicious cocktails – well-crafted and strong Desserts – the blueberry bread pudding + chocolate cake are both unreal The filet tip gnocchi is a go-to, but I love trying the nightly specials, every pasta I’ve had here has been fantastic.

Our family really likes this restaurant and today we visited for my wife’s birthday. Things were a little off, and it was a disappointing meal. The service was average and not at the higher level we experienced before. The server appeared to be new, and had difficulties describing the specials. When we ordered the mussels as an appetizer, they were served without bread. We had a hard time tracking the server down, and the bread wasn’t served until after we finished. While the bread was served piping hot, it was not worth the wait and carried an unusual taste that was less than palatable. The bread was not accompanied by oil or butter which was surprising. We both ordered an entree, the first being the evening special, linguine with langostino in a white sauce. I did not love this dish which had had a sour finish and didn’t do justice to the potential of the dish. My wife tried the bolognese which was also served as a white sauce. This was a much better dish, and the white sauce was thick and enveloped the noodles deliciously. My biggest disappointment was the service and the lack of professional finish demonstrated by the serving staff. The worst were the staff delivering the food. These young guys basically appeared at the table plopped the food down on the table and disappeared. I stopped the server when the mussels were served asking for bread and was told that I’d have to wait for our server to come by. The dishes were served without garnish and were simply presented in a bowl. No offers of cheese, cracked pepper or other accompaniments usually provided with pasta were offered. Keeping in mind that the price point is at an elevated level, tonight’s experience did not matchup with expectations. I would urge management to pay attention to staff training, performance and personal dress...

We arrived at 6:45 on a Thursday night without reservations asking for a table for 2. We were told it would be 7:30 before a table was ready so we asked if we could have a cocktail at the bar while we waited and were told that was fine. While at the bar we ordered an appetizer. At 7:40, we could see many more people coming in so my fiance went to the host to find out the status of our table and to make sure that the host knew even though we ordered an app, we still wanted to be seated at a table for dinner. The young man checked the dining room and let my fiance know it would be 5 minutes because they were cleaning off the table for us. Great! The host then disappeared and seemingly forgot about us. At 8:20 I found the host prepping silverware near the kitchen/bathroom doors and asked him if our table would be ready soon. He clearly forgot us and seated us at the table. Over an hour and a half wait for a table when 30 minutes is expected is disappointing. The bartender was nice and very personable. It was a little off-putting at times to hear her hollaring across the bar when she needed something, but the layout of the place didn't give her much choice. Our server was on point, the food did take longer than expected but the dining room was very busy so it was understandable. The entrees and dessert were great and (almost) worth waiting. The brushetta appetizer was not very good in my opinion. It was greasy and had melted mozzarella, which I admittedly may have missed in the description. The restaurant itself was cozy and had a good atmosphere. Based on our experience I thought the place was newly opened and just needed another chance. Now reading other reviews, it looks like maybe they need better management or more service training. I'm not sure if...

Update after owner reply: Sort the other reviews for lowest rating first and judge for yourself who is the rude and dishonest one is. Owners response to accurate criticism on several reviews just keeps proving the point! Everything we said is correct we abided by your guideline and there was no option to select more time. Why are you hiding and not taking our call? I can't believe how unprofessional your response and your practices are. Your business will not thrive given this. Sad that you don't take accountability.

This place is a joke. Spent over $100 per person and were treated like a number and they were more concerned about getting people out of there quickly. Waited 20 mins for a 2nd glass of wine then it was finally delivered just before we were reminded our reservation time was up one minute after the end at 7:31. There is no mention of time limit when you book a reservation or at hostess table, just after you're seated. Seems like for $100+ per person you shouldn't be reminded your table is booked for another party when the staff was way late to bring an ordered drink. Before just leaving a negative review I thought we should call and ask to talk to a manager. Called and asked to talk to the manager and were told there is no manager there and. That was interesting since the whole time we were there a guy was standing right outside the kitchen watching the room. No manager? really? Anyways, when I brought that up the girl got nervous and hung up on us. My wife called back and they wouldn't give a manager name or number to call back for. We won't come back again after this...
