I recently had the pleasure of visiting a coffee shop in Prosper, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. This hidden gem not only offers great coffee but also boasts an impressive selection of specialty drinks that are sure to satisfy any coffee lover's cravings.
One of their standout offerings is their Horchata cold brew. This unique blend of flavors combines the smoothness of traditional cold brew with the rich and creamy taste of Horchata. It was a delightful surprise and definitely a must-try for any adventurous coffee enthusiast.
But it doesn't stop there. The coffee shop also takes pride in its homemade pastries, and let me tell you, they are absolutely delicious. During my visit, I had the pleasure of indulging in a zucchini muffin, and it was a delightful treat. Moist, flavorful, and perfectly paired with my coffee, it was the ideal way to start my day.
The ambiance of the coffee shop is equally impressive. With a variety of different sitting areas, whether you prefer the cozy inside atmosphere or the inviting patio, you are bound to find the perfect spot to enjoy your coffee. I personally loved the patio, as it provided a serene and relaxing environment to sip my coffee and catch up with friends or even meet with clients.
Speaking of clients, the coffee shop's central location in Prosper makes it an ideal meeting spot. It's easily accessible and convenient for everyone, and the attentive and friendly customer service only adds to the overall positive experience.

Read moreI really wish I had a better experience here. I just moved into town and have been eyeing this place for a while, so i was excited to try! unfortunately, my experience wasn’t all that great. from start to finish i would say the vibe could be summed up as “i crashed a party i wasn’t invited to.” i don’t expect for the red carpet to be rolled out for me and i understand the morning is a busy time but basic human kindness would have been appreciated.
after my order was taken in a really cold and awkward manner, i went to go find a seat! (for context im 8 months pregnant) and i go to the first seat that i find which were a couple of barstools in front of the bar where they make the drinks. maybe this wasn’t great common sense on my end because that’s where they call the orders but since there was a chair available i assumed i could take it! one barista called the order so loudly that i jumped. again, i understand that’s what you have to do to notify people of their order but i felt it was done a little over-the-top to show i wasn’t welcome to sit there. after that, the barista asked if i was waiting on any orders and i told him i have two left. then he sarcastically asked if i could move over a chair because they have more drinks coming. again, i understand he needed more room but the message was delivered in such a catty way that i truly felt unwelcome in the establishment as a whole. i apologized for sitting there and my intention wasn’t to mess up the flow, but the conversation after was still cold so i grabbed my drinks and got out of their hair. i usually try to be understanding because i also work in customer service, but i've never left a coffee shop wanting to cry 🤣 i hope others have a better...
Read moreIf there was an 8th Star available, 1418 Coffee would be getting it! I flew in from SacTown, California, with my cousin for a family wedding. It's a huge event in Hickory Creek. There's a ton of our people about town.
My cousin and I, we are absolute coffee snobs! We are serious about our coffee; the way it's made (I like a French Press, she has an $899 espresso machine at home), flavor, roast, origin, free-trade, yada yada.
While we could not be more grateful for the hospitality extended to us, truly, when you know coffee like we know coffee, Folgers just won't get the job done. 🙄 So we had to make a run for it!!
1418 Coffee was a very happy surprise!! We both ordered a sandwich. I ordered an iced Americano AND a hot Americano to go, BOTH for me. She loved their cold brew and the hot latte also.
The staff was warm and welcoming. The seating was well spread out in a very spacious room, allowing for big chairs to sit and visit with others, as well as tables and chairs where others were seated with their laptops working away.
There was some background music, but it was so well chosen and non-intrusive that it was actual background music! Not competing with our conversation and easily forgotten. You are not supposed to leave a coffee shop with your biggest memory being that you had to keep saying, "What, huh, what did you say?" Remembering the songs that played but not half the conversation.
1418 Coffee is hands down the best coffee we've had outside of California. PLEASE NOTE, we've been to Pike Place Market in Seattle together.. 1418 is spanking the hell out of Starbucks!
I said what I...
