Worst service, that was possibly racist.
A friend and I went over to try this place out since we were in the area. We went in and even though the bartender (older male 50+, had a haircut with shaved sides and almost a mullet top, and lots of tats) was right in front of us, we were not acknowledged until her was done taking to the two ladies at the corner. I understand it's a service job, but it felt like if you wanted service, you had to be female and wearing a tight top. After he was done flirting he finally asked if we wanted a drink, acting as if we had disrupted his State of the Union with our one-drink each order. I asked him about a beer and when I ordered a margarita (it was a "special" for $7) he rolled his eyes like he had just made a five-course dinner and I wanted to change my order. As my friend was asking about the old fashions the bartender literally started drumming his fingers on the pour station! Talk about rude! For working in the service industry if you feel it's too much trouble to answer a question about a drink, maybe you should rethink your current job. I can say he had the worst demeanor out of all the bartenders I have had in DFW, even the bartenders at Twin Peaks and hotels were much more professional than this guy.
The old fashion was pre-made, talk about garbage, and the margarita came in a solo plastic cup! This was a $7 margarita, that was a special and not cheap, and you pour it in a disposable cup! š¤£. It was a Monday, not a party night, so at least step-up your presentation game and at least use a plastic tumbler!
It was their "karaoke" night and it was so bad that only the MC/DJ was singing so even the vibe was awful. I can't blame the guy for trying, but it was really sad.
The only other time the bartender checked was when we grabbed his attention to close-out. I understand he's running food but the place was not packed and there was a waitress working, she was actually nice when we asked to close-out with her since the bartender was socializing with smithers group on the opposite side of the bar. Finally he came back and we couldn't wait to GTFO of there.
One thing we felt was that since we were the only non-whites in the bar, it felt the service was dismissive, perhaps racist. Scrolling through the reviews it shows their main clientele, mostly white with very few minorities. Just based on us being ignored, lack of respectful service, and how other clientele had better service, the evidence suggests it.
We went to two other places after this place and spent about $200, that's money that I'm glad we didn't spend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe visited this bar during opening weekend and were really impressed ā the vibe was fun, everything felt well-organized, and the food, music, and DJ were all on point. The service stood out too, with the manager checking on tables and making sure everyone was having a great time.
Fast forward to this past Sunday ā it felt like a completely different place. When we walked in, I was the only woman there, and it honestly felt like we had accidentally walked into a gay night we didnāt know about. The energy was justā¦off We ordered wings and were disappointed. They were extremely salty ā same with the ranch ā nothing like what we had during our first visit. We let the bartender know we didnāt want to finish them, and his response was simply, āThanks for the feedback,ā with no offer to make it right or even acknowledge the drop in quality.
Overall, it seems like the consistency and welcoming atmosphere from opening weekend are already slipping. Maybe a more balanced staff and some attention to quality control would help bring things back. For now, weāll be holding off on returning. Back to Blackhawk and Shakertins it is. To club...

Playing all the jams we thought wow we hit the jackpot especially here in prosper! Walked in and the crowd looked fun music was bumping they had a bouncer at the door super nice guy! We walked in and sat down thinking maybe a server would come by .. 10 min later nothing so I went up to the bar to get our drinks .. saw many many bartenders laugh dance and pretty much paid attention to all the older gentlemenās .. finally waived down a girl and ordered 2 shots of tequila ( wells tequila ) $35 later š„² I am not sure why it was so expensive itās not uptown .. but we went to sit outside and again no one came up to us to get our orders we just wanted beers at this point .. again had to flag someone down. We were done by this point.. being in the service industry even if we were swamp as a bartender you still acknowledge your guest , and take multiple orders at that. Service is HORRIBLE here unless your a regular .. thatās what it looks like ..We wonāt be back.. Music is great ,...
