Spitz just opened up on Frontier Parkway in Prosper and OMG, I might have a new food addiction. This place is dangerously good.

I ordered the gyro meal with a side of sweet potato waffle fries (thanks to a reviewer who said they were the best they’ve ever had), and wow, they weren’t wrong. I had it delivered to my house through Grubhub, and every single bite was perfection.

I'm not usually a huge sweet potato fry fan, but these? Hands down the best I've ever had. Crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet and savory. Whoever that reviewer was, they deserve a five-star review just for the tip.

Was it a lot of food? Yes. Should I have stopped halfway through? Probably. Did I? Absolutely not. It was too good to leave a single bite behind.

Walked in on a weekday afternoon hoping to try out this new spot. It wasn’t busy, which I thought would make for a smooth experience — but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

There was no one at the register or counter to greet us. One employee eventually noticed us and casually waved us off with a “hold on,” then continued to wander around the dining room wearing earbuds, seemingly disengaged and uninterested. After waiting several minutes with no further acknowledgment, I decided to leave. It was clear that customer service wasn’t a priority.

My parents had the kids for the night and so my wife and I decided to go grab some food. In most cases, a gyro would never get me excited to get off the couch, but the Rangers lost an afternoon game and I needed to eat my feelings. Got the Spitz and man did that deliver! Fries on a gyro... so good. The sweet potato fries were definitely some of the best I've ever had. The decor is cool as well. Not the most upbeat people behind the counter when you walk into a place as fun looking at this one, but that didn't take away from the experience too much. I did want to sit at a table and when I went to sit down I noticed a water bottle and AirPods so assuming it was where one of the employees sits when it's empty.
