I'll start by saying I have ordered from Yoo for almost 2 years since moving pretty close to it. Previously, they would have had a different review, however after this weekend's experience I will NEVER eat at/order from/recommend this place ever again. I tried to place an order for delivery through their website. It didn't seem to work. It said "processing" for minutes and never confirmed my order. I checked my email and had no confirmation, nor a text, nothing. I assumed they were busy and just placed my order through Postmates. I got a confirmation from Postmates, got a text when it was arriving and all was fine. I NEVER heard another word from Yoo. The next day I check my bank account and see I was charged by their website- remember, I only received this order once and at the time Postmates texted me it had arrived. So I called to ask them to either refund it or just deliver it again, I was fine with either. I was met with the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They wouldn't let me finish explaining, accused me of stealing, and were so rude. I received a call from them again today saying my order was delivered. I repeat again that it wasn't. I was met with more rudeness and accusations. I hung up. THEN the same number texted me "thief". Please remember I paid for this order twice, and I got it once- seems to me that's the opposite of a thief. All of this was for a $25 order!! So much for customer service, right? I will NEVER eat here again- Jackys is better anyway, this place was just more convenient. Lesson learned....
Read moreI order about 60.00 a week from this place since they deliver. I generally like everything that I order but my love affair with this place took a turn. I am vegitarian and i ordered some nim chow and I wanted cucumber instead of the shrimp. I was surprised to hear.."that will be an extra 1.00" I responded well shrimp is clearly more expensive than cucumber and she continued to express that they dont like customers changing their menu...lol like I was developing a whole new menu. So I told them I don't eat meat. She responded "oh we can definitely not put the shrimp in but the cucumber is a 1.00. I'm like forget it, I'm not paying an extra dollar for a slice of cucumber. I also said, then if you take the shrimp out I expect my nim chow to be a dollar less. She said no its the same price!! They lost a customer that has been ordering from there for at least 3 years. Bye bye Yoo Sushi!!! That is horrible...
Read moreI can't fathom how this restaurant has 4.3 stars. I have ordered delivery many times and always been disappointed. Why, you might ask, do I keep ordering from there? I can't find any better sushi delivery in Providence. My last experience was so bad, that I've actually decided to go off sushi until there is a better option. These "chefs" do not know how to cut or prepare sushi properly. Their fish is not fresh and of terrible quality. I have been served UNI that is inedible and when I called to complain and ask for a refund, they refused and insisted the UNI was fresh. 1. Never eat here unless you like paying good money for garbage sushi. 2. Can someone please suggest a better alternative! We have such an abundance of locally sources, wild caught fish and seafood. Why can't someone make it into delicious...
