Was visiting Chicago and needed a place for breakfast. This was close by so we decided to take a look, and I'm glad we did! It's a cute little place and even though they were busy we were able to be seated quickly. Our waitress, Sarah, was so sweet and always on top of coffee refills. (Which we really appreciated after flying out of DFW at 5AM!) We ordered one of their skillets with over easy eggs. The portions are generous and both of us easily shared one skillet along with a side of fruit. It also came with two pieces of big wheat toast, or we could've ordered a pancake instead. It was absolutely delicious! It was so good, that we stopped by again the next morning and ordered the same thing. The skillet, toast, fruit, and two coffees came out to just under $20 and considering the fresh, deliciousness of the food, great atmosphere, and generous portions I consider it money well spent. This will be one of the places we stop at each time we visit Chicago.

Amazing. This was my second visit, and I was anxious to review because I loved it so much last time, and this visit was no different. I just got a simple 2x2x2 with French toast and a coffee, and I was fully sated, maybe even overfull! Our server was excellent and attentive while being super busy at the time. Coffee stayed hot and full. Before we left, they sent us home with some complimentary donuts, and they are too good. I forgot to save room to try some of those cinnamon rolls, unfortunately. The dessert display calls my name every time I pass it. My roommate had the chorizo skillet, and the bite I tried was also fantastic. Decor for the most part isn't my style (not that I'm bothered by it) although I do love the eggs on the ceiling. So cool! I'd suggest everyone give this spot a visit. 10/10

I can’t say enough great things about this place! The warm greeting when we arrived to the delicious breakfast and beautiful atmosphere, it was our first visit here but certainly not our last. There was plenty of street parking and we were seated right away. We started with fresh donuts and freshly squeezed orange juice. My daughters did the 2x2x2 deal and the meat lover’s breakfast burrito with hash. They were not stingy with the chorizo and it was delicious. I did the crepes with peaches and they were devine. The restaurant is decorated so well with so many little details everywhere you look from the cute tea pots to the coffee mugs used as lights, I’d go to just see what I missed the first time. They also have a whole outdoor patio area that we didn’t explore yet.

Just left there at 8 this morning, was there by myself, the server that sat me, sat me in the Back of the room against the wall, there was a couple from out of town, that the woman who sat me said that she was bringing them Donuts free for the holidays, and because they were there for the first time. This woman who sat me never seen me in there Restaurant before, never even seen a donut for myself visiting your Diner. and the server who did take care of me was nice at first, but before I finished my meal, actually said, I am leaving this here now, which was the Check, apparently knowing I wasn’t going to want anything else, which I might have gotten a order to go for my wife, and I don’t want you to feel I am pushing you out the door, I will be back by to fill up your cup, only to have her never come back to fill the cup of Coffee again. Food is good at a higher than average prices for the area. But to be honest Hospitality need a pick up, and not to be a one sided hospitality for a couple instead of just a single Man coming in for a Breakfast. I am one that worked for tips in my younger days, and know how it is working for tips, but I also reward for good service also. Usually 35- 50% of the Bill, but I also slight if service is not equally shown from one customer to another. Don’t need to be pampered, but treated equally is always appreciated. Was not shown...

Food was ok. Took a sip of coffee and looked back at my mug to find a lipstick stain on it... right where I had just put my lips.... gross! Asked for another mug... had a lipstick stain on it too. Noticed my glass had a lipstick stain too.. but I didnt want to make a big deal of it. After finishing our meals we went up to pay. The cashier asked out loud, "ARE YOU LEAVING A TIP?" Wish I could have discreetly decided what I wanted to leave. After signing off and paying, I asked if she was the manager. She said she was the cashier and pointed out the owner behind her. I said I didn't want to be a bother and just wanted to mention that there were lipstic stains on my mugs. Before I could finish my sentence she pats the owners shoulder to turn around. So I cleared my throat and told her about the mugs. She without even acknowledging my complaint walked past me and out of view. Guess I should have made a big deal...
