Hello, We our Mexican and P.R decent family. Recently new to Brookfield for about 1 year. It is very hard to find a great traditional Mexican restaurant nearby. My wife suggested this restaurant as she seen it on the way in dropping off our kids to school. We dine in for dinner and recently ordered breakfast this morning. I would truthfully say this establishment has traditional fresh Mexican food. I can say they value customer service, fresh food, and family owned business. I had the enchiladas of course green sauce for dinner and it tasted as my mom use to make it growing up. The prices is fair along with every restaurant in our society especially with the pandemic. Parking is parking what I mean by that is ,yes they have limited parking however shouldn't be a deal breaker as am sure they rent to have the business in that location. Like the city if you find a great location parking is the last thing on your mind. We our happy to have found a traditional Mexican establishment that is respectfully NOT American influence. The food is very traditional with flavor and spices. I truthfully highly recommend this restaurant in our Brookfield location as they strive on great food, customer service, and follow consistently great food. And also a restaurant that supports the local...
Read moreFound this place by sheer luck after my VA appointment. The location has extremely tight parking, it's in a small strip of shops and can be easily missed if you don't map it. Inside is dark but not dinge and very clean, too many window ads covering natural light. The service was incredible, very attentive waitress, food came out quick and hot. The complimentary chips and salsa were among the best I've had - believe it or not, but I eat a lot of Mexican food. Very crisp homemade chips, not oily at all. The salsa was warm with a slightly spicy kick...the star of the show. I ordered a carne asada torta and 1 alpastor taco. The hot sauces they provided for the food, separate from salsa mentioned above, were flavorful and not extremely hot. The torta was very good, on the smaller side, but for $8.99 in today's economy, well worth it. The asada was not chewy or greasy and seasoned very well. Fresh veggies and tasty beans that didn't overpower the sandwich. The alpastor taco was fantastic, meat was delicious and seasoned to perfection. Decent size for $3.50. This place is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it. It's as authentic as you could get and not pretentious or gimmicky, JUST FRIENDLY SERVICE...
Read moreSteak burritos, al pastor and chicken tacos were all tasty. Meat was cut up fine, not too big and not too small (think Los Comales). I also had the horchata but a little too sweet for me. Quantity and price was also pretty much on par. Only three dings on our first visit. 1) Service was decent although there was a mix up on what type of meat I wanted on my burrito. 2) Waitress charged me for a Burrito Special that was $10.99 when I asked for no beans and to add cheese and sour cream. Should have been $10.49 ($8.99 plus .75 ea for the additions). 3) Please change the damn battery on that smoke detector! That constant loud beeping was annoying as hell and took away from an otherwise decent atmosphere. Last note, update your online menu pics, they're three years old and add the prices to the online menu. Hopefully they'll address these easy minor fixes cause we like...
