Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Proviso Township

Really nice folks who own/manage this store, and quality of the food is in line with what you'd expect from people who work hard and care about the end result (which is just to say no complaints about the actual pizza).

The notable letdown is always the delivery, and to the point it's just a better call to get carryout instead. My problem is that I only get delivery pizza on pretty rare occasions, which is just about often enough for me to forget that it's not a good idea when ordering from here. The big issue is that it just plain takes forever, and even worse they just mark the pizza as delivered online once the clock goes past 1.5 hours, which is basically every time (or at least it has been for me). No one's ever been rude or discourteous, but it's of course a bummer to wait that long and get lukewarm pizza. It's also pretty odd to call and say "I don't have a pizza, but it says my order has been delivered" and have the person on the other end respond "yeah, that's just because it's been over an hour and a half..."

I've been with Papa John's for years and I've NEVER complained, but the service I just received was completely unacceptable. My confirmation email told me my order would be delivered in 27-37 mins. It took over an HOUR to receive my order. The delivery driver was completely rude and didn't even deliver the order to the door. On top of that, he forgot the 2-liter Pepsi we had ordered. I called him and at first he said he would come back around to drop off the beverage. After waiting for a good 5 mins I called him back and he said he "forgot" to mention he'd have to go all the way back to the Papa John's store for the soda. He then called back another 5 mins after (shorter than expected since he mentioned he'd be driving back to the store) DEMANDING that we come outside to get the Pepsi that HE initially forgot to bring in the first place because he needed to rush to go. Benti or bento assisted me this evening and when I tell you this man had no acknowledgment of the sales for pizza and cooked and packaged with his dirty hands a cheese pizza that he attempted to charge me $17 for. I had to ask for pizza an after I realized he was try over charge me I proceeded to order online. He made food and it fell on the floor he picked it up and gave to DoorDash worker to deliver then he picked up cheese and sausage on the floor an boxed my pizza after I asked him could he wash his hands he proceeded to say he didn’t touch my pizza he only cut it yea with dirty hands.
