This place definitely worth giving a try! They have here so amazing sandwiches and subs that is really worth the price. Their best seller is the Corned Beef, it is so tasty, meaty, and delicious. It is also prepared so perfectly, made to order, and fresh. You will absolutely surprise how great it is. They also have unique food that you can only try and get at their restaurant. Everything is made to perfection. Really great menu! Their employees here are very accommodating, attentive, and friendly. They will greet you once you enter the place and also will assist you to find some vacant spot. They are really helpful and kind. They all know how to treat their customers so well. Very nice staff. You can really tell that all of them really loves their job and they are happy doing all the things they are doing inside the place. All of them are really fast workers. They are really one of the reasons why this place is really great. Starship Restaurant is totally a hidden gem in this area of Forest Park! Starship is this amazing little place that you could easily mistake for a little hole in the wall as you walk by. Some further inspection will tell you it's a Star Trek themed sandwich joint, but the place needs no gimmicks. The sandwiches are consistently wonderful, and their soups are impressive in both quality and quantity.

Sandwiches come with homemade chips, and unless you're very hungry a typical 6" and chips could net you 1-2 meals. They use sesame seed loaves, and they don't skimp on meat/toppings.

Rounding out the experience, you have friendly and personable staff, and they bring your food out to you.

All in all, Starship is one of the top two reasons I find myself coming back to this area again and again (the other one being Johnnie's), and even with a 40 minute hike the food always makes the journey worth it.

I came here and ordered a cup of chili and a ham sub. The young guy behind counter had a bit of an attitude from the moment I walked inside. I was too hungry to match his negative energy.

I got my food and left. My conscious told me to check my food. I went to my car to check my food and was disgusted. The ham was dark and look like it had been out all day. My sub look like it was just thrown together.

I went back inside and showed the rude guy my sub. He instantly got offended and said that's how the ham looks. And refunded me back my money woth an attitude.

I called the next day and requested to speak to a Manager. Someone called me a week later and I explained the situation. I was told someone would call me back.

I'm still waiting on that call from a month ago. Terrible service and the food isn't worth coming back. I'm one lost customer and wont...
