Madison Park Kitchen — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I have been eating breakfast at this Resturant since it opened. I order the same dish when I go because it is delicious “Breakfast Nahos” I have not been disappointed in many times I have eaten at this restaurant until today. The breakfast nahos had very little meat in the 2 entrees we ordered. I did not think it would be a problem because we informed the waitress when she delivered them to our table and showed her. She left the table and came back and said she would have to change us for the meat that should have already been included when it was prepared. I requested the manager he came to our table and was rude and argumentative, after he spoke for severel minutes while my Mom and I sat quietly. When he finished basically aquising us of lying about not having meat in our entree and few other comments. I explained I have been here serveral times and I have ordered this dish, the menu states that meat is an ingredient and it has always had meat in the past. I requested the check and the meat sowe can add it ourselves when we get home. I explained I just want what I ordered. Customer service is just as important to me as the quality of the product I receive. I did not appreciate his rude tone or comments. I hope he doesn’t treat anyone else that way,

This place is a nice alternative to typical resteraunts/diners. The sweet potato fries were burnt, unsalted and bland. The crepes were only filled in the center with the cream cheese filling. They looked like a pregnant stick. Personally I like my crepes filled all the way through. I ordered an Avocado BLT wrap. Which I was very excited for, but disappointed to bite into a warm wrap. I thought wraps were served cold, I don't like warm avocado and lettuce. After waiting ten mins for my server to come back, I walked to the front desk to ask for her. (She was sitting down eating with her back to us.) I asked the server to confirm if this was a wrap or a panini. I then asked if the wraps are put in the panini press bc it doesn't state that in the menu. She says of course, (like I'm the idiot). Unfortunately i have to give MP kitchen a poor review. There are many options for diners in this area and I have always thought MP Kitchen had the best food. Until on my most recent visit when my girlfriend and I were having breakfast and a roach crawed out of the tray the waitress brought containing the maple syrup and butter packets. This was the largest bug ive ever seen at a restaurant. We quickly moved the tray to an open table and altered our waitress. The way she handled the situation is the reason for this 1 star review. She acted like it was no big deal, brought us a new tray butter and asked if there is anything else she can get us without even a breath of apology. It made it seem like this happens all the time here and my girlfriend and I were both a little too shocked to continue eating. But they charged us full price anyway.
