Spice N Eat — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I use to love this chicken, I live an hour away from this place. I bragged so much about it, and was so happen to be in the area. A family member, and I decided to stop by on the way home. It was the worst experience! and terrible tasting chicken I ever had from here. It did not have its distinctive spice taste at all. We ordered extra lemon pepper flavor, and sat in the car waiting for our order. Tried to order from the next door chinese restaurant to get some rice to go along with it. Walked into the foyer area, and the lady literally started running away from us, and asked us to back to our car, and call in to order, when everyone one else was ordering and placing a card in the money bin, and ordering at the same time. The lady looked fearful of us, and walked away, and refused to take our order through the glass. Then we refused to order from the gentlemen, felt uncomfortable with such horrible service, we decided to walk away, so no rice for us. It was time to pick our order up from Chicken and Spice, got back to the car, the chicken was soft, we asked for fried hard. I took it back inside and asked for lemon pepper on the side, he told me to bring chicken back to him to place lemon pepper on it, and I did. He sprinkled lemon pepper, and I asked to please put extra, he gave order to me, and I said no No sir, its not enough, please can I have extra on it? we live an hour away, and we would like to enjoy our ride home bragging on the taste, or please put it in a cup for us to sprinkle ourselves? I wanted that delicious Spice N Eat lemon pepper taste. He literally refused me more, and stated the next time you are in town, I will give you extra lemon pepper on your next trip here. I was not only disappointed, but also embarrassed by both businesses customer service, I will never come back here again, and have told my family who live in the area, not...

I first started eating here about 12 years ago and I have not stop eating here. Now I have my son addicted to their wings. Definitely worth a try!!!

Update: the customer service has gotten terrible!!!! I went in today and stood at the counter for about 2-3 minutes and no one came to the counter. So I yelled out Hello and then saw the cook. He looked me in my eyes and said nothing. He continued to be "busy" as if I wasn't standing there. He never called for anyone to come to the front. So I stood there about another 3 minutes then a lady comes and just looks at me and then I say is anyone going to take my order I've been standing here and he looked at me and didn't even acknowledge me. She said oh he's the cook. Wth does that mean to me!?!? I don't care what his title is. You have terrible customer service and people shouldn't spend...

The quality and the taste of this food is amazing! We got the seafood platter with a new addition to the menu: oysters! Was a bit tentative, but After I told my 12 year old son that he was actually eating oysters, and he was like "WHAT??? Those were amazing!!!" Was hilarious! He said it's his favorite seafood place that he has ever been to. I personally enjoyed the seasoning, the attention to detail in the quality of foods, and the wonderful owner, Nasser. What a passionate owner. He truly takes his time and effort into every meal that he serves. Even showed my son and I how a restaurant works. A meal and a lesson! Wish I could give more...
