Hello everyone!
I don’t post here at all but after my experience at JKs Restaurant on St. Charles and Wolf Rd, I feel as if I must share.
On Sunday(12/22), I went there around brunch time with my sister. I got food poisoning after eating their food. I got the 2x2x2, with sausage, a side of hash browns and orange juice, and my sister got the soup of the day with a side of sausage as well.
I want to emphasize I didn’t eat anything before or after I went to the restaurant. No one else in my household felt or experienced what I experienced, so I was able to rule out the stomach flu.
About 2 hours after eating at the restaurant I started to feel extremely nauseous. Eventually I started to experience diarrhea, vomitting, upset/uneasy stomach, and fatigue. I was extremely sick.
I never would’ve wrote this note if the restaurant didn’t respond how they did which was very disrespectful and very disappointing as a business. The person that answered the phone was a man and compared me to his wife when I told him I was vomitting and sick, asking me if it was something else because his wife also experiences similar things which to me was very very rude and dismissive.
I will not be going back there and I understand people have different experiences at this restaurant but I wanted to share mine because the way the restaurant reacted was extremely rude...

Located at the southeast corner of St Charles and Wolf Road, this place is perfect for Sunday breakfast or a lunch time meal. The location is perfect for out of town folks too because it’s a quick drive off I-290.
The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. Every time I go here, I see at least one person I know.
Parking is perfect. Free parking in the JKs lot with overflow a block away that is also free on the street.
I come here at least 2-3 times a month for the last 15 years. My kids rave about the strawberry crepes and strawberry blintzes.
I love their omelette with hash browns.

Read moreOut with my son and daughter for breakfast and this was the closest place we found. With the location being a on a corner at a busy intersection we expected it to be a good place to get breakfast, unfortunately that was not the case. The food was acceptable but the service was just awful. Maybe the service was lacking because only one waitress was available to wait on the five tables that were seated, not the case! Service was awful because that waitress had a terrible attitude. She showed a lack interest in serving her customers and acted as if her job was beneath her. My advice for management: find a different service because she is sending customers away unhappy. I cannot recommend eating here. I do recommend...
