I hadn't been in a pier 49 pizza in at least 10 years. So when I had the faintest memory of a place my father would take us whilst we were vacationing I knew I wanted to give it a go to see if it lived up to its childhood memory.

Lo and behold it has. We ordered a cheese bread, full house pizza (sampler pizza) and a cinnamon bread.

The cheese bread was well covered in cheese and the marina it came with was quite excellent. If all you are craving is cheese bread this place is quite nice and is remarkably light on the stomach especially if lactose intolerant.

The pizza was very good, the dough was excellent and when we discovered it was sour dough we knew why we liked it so much. We sampled the buffalo chicken, pepperoni, pesto and 3 meat. The buffalo chicken was incredible and was a crowd favorite. The pepperoni once again was delicious and light on grease which is impressive given the amount of pepperoni. Papa murphy's large pepperoni pizza has enough grease to fill a 44oz mug so this was a welcome divergence from what I associate with pepperoni pizzas. The pesto was very good which is a surprise as I do not enjoy pesto generally, and was not overpowering which can be the case with pesto infused dishes. Finally, the 3 meat was also mild on grease and very good, perfect for my more carnivorous diet.

The dessert, being the cinnamon sticks, went light on the cinnamon sugar and was thus a more of a sweetened bread versus an all out sugary dessert but was also enjoyed by everyone.

The final and large part of this review was the owner who despite us coming in near closing made us feel unrushed and spoke to us very kindly while we decided even offering suggestions as we discussed and he went as far as to offer us a little discount when he learned I hadn't been in for over a decade. All-in-all we were extremely impressed and we will...

Staff was rude, didn't listen, wouldn't communicate and left out parts of orders. Food was good, once we got it. The pizza had WAY too much cheese, crust was a little soggy, not all of the cheese was melted, and the flavor was way off.

The owner took our order and acted like there was a huge line so we needed to hurry up and order our food - the wad only one other person in the place and they were already seated. He was so stressed and acted like he also didn't know how to work the computer.

Our pizza was brought out missing some toppings. I told the girl who brought us the pizza that the toppings were missing and she got huffy then said, "Ok," and walked off. I was left wondering what was going on, and waited several minutes for her to come back, but she never did - she was at the front desk taking orders. I finally had to go back to the kitchen door and wait for someone (I'm assuming the owner) to see me, only then was I told that a smaller pizza was being put in for me. I also asked about a whole other item that we had ordered but wasn't brought out and they said we had never asked for it. I asked if we could please get it since they had already screwed up our order and weren't listening in the first place and he said only if I went and paid for it. I told him to forget it.

We won't be coming back here. Rude owner who doesn't know how to work his business, and...

Let me set the record straight. Pier 49 pizza is as much of a joke as the current presidential options we're facing. I have tried not once, not twice, but three times, to enjoy their pizza. The first time they said they were "closed" (sign said 9:00pm. It was 8:40pm). The second time they were closed in the middle of the day due to "utilities difficulties." The third time I waited for over an hour for my delivery and finally called to see where it was. Oh, you mean you haven't even flattened out dough for it yet? Perfect! Well it's already been an hour so why not wait another thirty minutes for a sat-on, squished, greasy-filled, lukewarm, disappointment-ridden pizza? Save yourself the time and trouble of feeding this establishment your money and save it for the hard-working "mom and pop" shops around Provo who will actually give you the service you deserve. In the words of the man himself, "That would be like giving food to a mortally wounded animal instead of slitting its throat and properly utilizing its meat and pelt." -Ron Swanson. Please let this company die and start supporting those that will give back to the community. (I cannot give this rating a "no-star" rating even though it deserves negative stars. the system is yet...

Pretty disappointed with the unlimited all you can eat lunch. The price is now up to $14.99. They had 2 pizza pans worth of pizza to choose from. As well, we were asked if we wanted a salad.... the sign says unlimited pizza, salad, and drinks---$14.99. But then when we said yes they told us that would be an extra dollar. That needs to be updated it that was the case. Didn't feel like the pizza had that much flavor or was special, prices were high for what you got, disappointed in the selection of options, and was sad that they didn't even have breadsticks for the unlimited lunch. If you're looking for a buffet style pizza lunch... this is not the right place for that. We had to wait for a worker to come up to the counter and tell them what pizza slice we wanted from the warming cabinet. Just different than what we were expecting. Also something weird is that they have multiple signs saying you get free breadsticks with the biggest pizza size purchase but others said you got breadsticks for $1. The marketing was confusing because they were everywhere but had conflicting information.

Not a great experience. I was the only one there when I walked in and stood at the counter for 5 minutes or so before one the guys pretended to finally notice me. It did give me enough time to notice how dirty the counter and equipment was though. I ordered online and my pizza was ready when I arrived but felt the need to check the pizza before walking out. Good thing I did because the pizza was missing half the toppings including the sausage I paid an extra $2 for. I confronted the staff about the missing toppings and poor quality and was given a $15 gift card that I will not be using. (Only reason for two stars) they also threw some tomatoes on that where missing but it just was kind of weird cause at that point the pizza was cold and they just kind of rolled around the box loosely Pier 49 was a great place but longer is and I feel the good name was used to take $24 from me in return for something of lower quality to a $5 hot and ready.

Hands down, best restaurant experience I have had in MONTHS. Friendly from the start, I asked for something they didn’t “traditionally do” which I wasn’t aware of, and they told me they’d do it anyways for me. Impeccable service off the get go with that. Then upon delivering my pizza the person who rang me up at the register informed me that they were out of bacon which was on one of the slices I ordered and so they upgraded me to a large to make up for it….. without me even asking. This is hands down the BEST service I’ve gotten, potentially ever. They anticipated my needs, the pizza was PHENOMENAL, and overall I’d give this a 10 star review if I could. Thank you!!
