@JackBox Filthy. If what I saw at the drive-thru is any indication of what is going on inside, then the filthy conditions just make me shudder.
8:30 P.M. on a Tuesday night, it wasn't very busy, and the employees inside were dilly-dallying around looking thoroughly disinterested. It took quite a long time to get my bacon egg and cheese biscuit sandwich. Which tasted great. It was delightful to get a breakfast sandwich at 8:30 at night. At Jack in the Box breakfast is served all day.
Since it took so long I had the opportunity to gaze inside the window of the drive-thru. This location also has windows into the kitchen area, albeit some of them are frosted and obscure the view.
For starters, the metal ledge outside of the drive-thru was filthy dirty. Countless spilled beverages, including a white perhaps milk or milkshake substance, were all over the exterior of this metal ledge. I can't even explain the horror of the wall. Ugh. Nasty.
Inside, on the counter surrounding the drive-thru cash register, were crumbs and crumpled up receipts and papers. There were bins stacked up with supplies abound. A drink machine was broken down (being cleaned?) with utensils strewn about.
The employees look bored. I guess they could have wiped down some counters or some metal ledges or some walls to keep them busy?
Customers aren't really aware of what goes on behind the counters and in the back. The glimpses I saw on this occasion were sort of terrifying. Years ago I worked in the fast food realm and it was never like that, especially if it were slow because my past managers were sticklers about the cleanliness. I have done my fair share of baseboard cleaning.
There are several other fast food options in the area. Go to them instead. You'll probably be...
Read moreThe late night munchie box is awesome and a good value! I wish they would let you have all curly fries instead of half normal/ half curly. 50% of the time, we have experienced poor customer service that late at night though. I don't have one experience to point out but in general the tone of the employee was lack luster as if they are there against their will. And when it came to fixing the one time our order was messed up, it didn't happen. So I guess I do have an experience to point out. They didn't get BOTH orders of our churros in our order. They pointed out only one order was paid for. We wanted another (that IS what we ordered, two orders of churros) order but were told we would have to go back through the line. First off, we would have to wait for them to make another order because they didn't hear us correctly or just didn't enter it correctly. But second, we would have to spend EXTRA time going back in line and waiting while the other cars go through due to that person's mistake? No. They could have at least put in the order and had us pull to the side as it was made. I wasn't even looking for an apology, just for it to be corrected. But instead, the employee took no ownership of not entering the order right, and we ended up leaving with the order as is instead of being punished for that person's mistake by having to wait in line again and end up with cold food by the time we got to the window again. That could have been handled way better. That and other little mishaps is purely why I dropped my rating to three stars. I still like the place, I just don't recommend them to anyone if they have...
Read moreIf I could give this place less than one star I would. From the moment we arrived we received nothing but negative attitude from the workers. While trying to place our order we kept getting interrupted by the cashier. So it’s no wonder that one of our orders was wrong. When we took said order back up to get fixed, we were blamed for the mistake by the cashier. She stated that “it’s really simple to order.” as if to say that we lacked the intelligence of ordering fast food. We then asked for our meals to go (having been fed up at that point already). Another female worker threw our half eaten fries into a basket to re-scoop them out into a to-go box. When I inquired about her actions she stated that “the basket was empty.” Benefit of the doubt...maybe it was empty, but I didn’t see her even attempt to clean the basket afterwards. Meaning any germs my boyfriend and I had in our mouths were in the fry basket which more than likely was used later that day for other customers. This disgusted me and I lost my appetite. So finally I just asked for my money back. ALL of the workers gave me attitude and hesitated. They asked for my receipt (which was possibly tossed when we asked for our meals to-go) and threw a fit when they had to get cash instead of putting money back onto my card. It was our first time in a Jack-in-the-box and it was well beyond a horrible experience. Which is a huge shame. Workers should be trained correctly in both customer service and...
