The service is excellent! The taco meat, chicken, ground beef and chipotle is all extremely bland. Mexican food is supposed to challenge your pallet!!! The chicken tastes like it was boiled in water with no seasonings. They offer two taco shells, corn and flour. The corn is definately more crunchy. The flour was good, but more on the chewy side. The refried beans are over salted, but very tasty. Chips and salsa arrived in a bowl and dispenser. The salsa is fresh, and made from ristra chilies and water. They need to make it less watery.... Overall, spouse and I were disappointed with the meal... $30.00 for 5 tacos, water, tea, and chips and salsa and a side of beans. We did see some amazing looking chimichangas, and enchiladas come out of the kitchen. Hopefully they were not as bland for their customers... My wife likes bland food... I like habanero peppers... she commented it was too bland for her. Note to chef... learn to use some spices other than salt!

Fantastic margaritas! Probably one of the best I've had. The food was ok. I got the ghost pepper chili rellenos but they were not very hot, which was a little disappointing. My friend got their version of the loaded nachos which were decent. Another friend got the combo of a taco, small burrito and rice. She thought it was pretty decent too. We had to ask several times for chips and salsa and the salsa was in a bottle. But this is where Obama came and ate, so it was cool to see the table. And obviously the margaritas. Come here for the margaritas!!

The staff is so very friendly and welcoming. They helped each other several times while we were there. The food was brought to our table fast and tasted great. It is authentic delicious food. I would highly recommend trying it. I eat vegetarian and they had no problems with my meal.

Omg!!!!! Wow, where to begin How about this. So my husband and I just moved from California where I grew up. I know Mexican food, I know real Mexican food and more or less American Mexican food. We were passing through town about 2 weeks prior to Halloween. I thought Pueblo should have good Mexican food=(the real deal). I googled the best authentic Mexican. I was really looking for a Mercado. The first one that came up was closed by the time we got there since it was a Sunday. So I went to the next listing in town. Jorge's Sombero. Now granted on the reviews people said the service was slow. So I was expecting the food time to be slow but that usually means excellent food BC it's made fresh like at Luna's Market in COS. Nope! It meant horrible service from the waiters! I swear I'm not making this story up this happened. The salsa came out and it was terrible. It might as well have been tomato juice. I then asked for Pico degao. I had to pay for it. OK not problem, I want it. It took foooooooorever!!!! People to get get it. You'd think the went to harvest all the veg and make it from scratch. Nooooo! When it finally came it was old! Man, I mean it had to have been two weeks old no bull! It too had nooooo spice??? No jalapeno? Weird man! Asked for fresh limes and I got limes that had come from the bar and they were old. Had to at least been a week old, dried out limes. Finally our main courses came. I ordered simple fajitas that not even Chevy's Mexican restaurant doesn't get wrong. My grilled vegetables tasted like stirfry!!!??? How does this happen? I have no idea! I've never in my 36 years of life experienced/tasted such failure. Not to mention the horrible service. Our waitress would disappear for 20-30 min at a time. Towards the end of our meal 3 hours later the only Mexican employee who was busing tables helped us order another drink. He was awesome! The only person paying attention! I asked the waitress to get the management so I could possibly bring everything to light And the manager didn't care!!! Flabbergasted!!! They gave us the bill and it was outrageous!

The failure of this establishment starts from the top-down. Plain and simple. I really feel that none of the employees take pride in their job(except for the bus boy who I tipped personally) They don't hire cooks that even have a small grasp on the ethnic food they are preparing. I'm guessing and I hate to say this,BC I'm white, that that's who haaad to be back there. Nothing wrong with that, but you need to have a passion for the food you cook. It shouldn't just be your job. So, to top off the whole experience. I went home and promptly had food poising for a week! A week in bed sick, from all the bugs and bacteria that was growing on the food they serve. I hate to say it but I felt like that's what I got for complaining. Think of it, the audacity that I, a paying patron should expect quality food and good service. I would like to ask the city to do inspections on this establishment. I'm not kidding and shut it down. I wouldn't be surprised if their fridge is a petri dish filled with mold, rat turds and roaches. Seriously, my Pico degao did look like it could have had mold in it and they scaped it off. Oh, the sour cream was turned and I also had to pay extra for that. One more thing, I'm guessing this place used to owned my Jorge and he was successful and sold this restaurant to someone who has never owned a restaurant and has had Mexican food but again, has no experience. At this point I have to guess they hate the dicision to buy a restaurant and are running it into the ground. If I'm wrong I would love for the real Jorge to please stand up for...

So I would like to know how they justify 50 cents worth of cheese turning into 6 dollars if you look at the Menu it says cheese already comes inside the Jorges Burrito as in included in the original price so my Wife ordered the Jorges Burrito with the cheese inside which should have been menu price then I ordered my Jorges Burrito with cheese on top the Menu clearly states that if you want cheese on top of your burrito it's 50 additional cents it also states that if you want cheese on your entire plate which means the entire plate so that would mean cheese on top of your beans or your rice along with the burrito that comes on the same plate that it's a additional 1.50 so anyways I asked for cheese on top of my burrito only for the additional 50 cents which they forgot to put on my burrito so the waiter brought me a small side of cold cheese once I reminded him which I placed on my burrito only so I was expecting a upcharge of 50 cents anyways when we got our bill they added 6 dollars 3 bucks each to the bill for cheese I told the waiter the bill was wrong since I was the only one who asked for cheese on top of my burrito for 50 cents extra so then he looks at the menu and says oh I see I'll fix it then comes back with a new bill charging 3 dollars for the 50 cents worth of cheese then again I explained that my wife's burrito was suppose to be menu price since cheese is already included in the burrito and mine was only suppose to be 50 cents extra since I only got cheese on top of my burrito for 50 extra cents not the entire plate which would have been a 1,50 if so and that my cheese was a cold side of cheese by the way and wasn't even melted onto my burrito as originally ordered anyways he said he fixed the ticket as much as he was able and that I I owed them 3 dollars for that cheese I then stated ok that's fine but I'm taking 3 dollars out of your tip for it which I did because I would have tipped 7 but I tipped 4 bucks instead I just want it to be known that I was charged 3 dollars for my 50 cents worth of cheese and that before the so called ticket correction they were trying to charge me 6 dollars for the 50 cents worth of cheese the whole staff seems to have a communication barrier ,built into their heads and they need to learn and study what the menu states a bit more next time this happens they are only getting 50 cents for the cheese as the menu states on the Jorges Burrito and if they aren't satisfied with that they will need to call the police and I will patiently sit and wait for them however today I didn't have time to settle it that way so I paid the 3 bucks and shorted the ignorant waiter on his tip to make up for his lack of knowledge ok...

Shameful behavior conducted by the business owner!!

I am a long going patron of this restaurant who also happens to be currently ranking in the top 10 percent of Mexican restaurant reviewers for Google! Going here, I had thought surely was a slam dunk.. However, as a party of 6, including 2 guests from Denver. Everyone’s dishes came out except mine (carnitas plate). When I questioned it, I was met with a strange response from Jorge where he started stating that they didn’t have carnitas, only to redirect his statement to say that it would be out shortly. Unfortunately, when it arrived, the pork was obviously rancid tasting and smelling and looking! When I brought that to his attention, I was met with a very defensive argument from him, after which, he took the plate and planted his nose in it, stating it was fine. I told him he was free to eat it then, so he immediately grabbed a handful and stuffed it into his mouth. As he attempted to eat it, I’m sure it was clear to him that I was right. Instead of apologizing however, he got even more defensive and rude by getting in my face yelling “I don’t know what you want me to do about it; I’m busy!” I finally did get a replacement meal from the other waitress (which I was charged for). He had every opportunity to apologize for the spectacle he made of himself, but instead chose to glare at me the whole while, even on my way out. They have lost our (extended family) business forever! Our entire party was appalled and left in disbelief that a business owner would conduct himself in...
