Food here is always phenomenal. My family has been frequenting this restaurant since it's opening, well actually since it used to be King Taco food truck and dad would bring home 30 carnitas in the middle of the night, my siblings and I would eat as many as we could and dad would finish what we couldn't after he had his fill as well lol. I've always had a deep appreciation for this place. This is why it saddens me to say that I don't think we'll be returning. My mom stopped eating it about two years ago when she found a nail in her food. I told her It was probably just because it got sliced while cutting the onion or something because it was such a thin sliver, but she still hasn't been able to eat it. My kids and I still liked to go, though, so we had been. The last time I went, the vibe was just off, though. The staff were very cold when they're not normally ever like that. I didn't realize you have to purchase extra salsa cups now and was made aware very... harshly when I went to refill my salsa. I understand times are changing and everything is expensive. I guess I would've just liked mutual respect when being confronted about new policies. I don't mind paying extra. I just wasn't aware. They used to have a huge roll of paper towels on each table because it gets pretty messy, lol. Now they only give you a few Napkins with your order. I needed more but didn't feel comfortable asking, so we made it work. It's just no longer the beloved place I remember, so I don't believe we'll be returning. This restaurant is loved by pueblo, and I know it will continue to be the huge success it is. They have the best super hot salsa ever, and the food is delicious. Just remember to pay for extra salsa while ordering if you like a lot and maybe opt to...
Read moreAfter 17 years in the Springs, I bought a house on the Mesa, and have been trying out many of the local restaurant offerings in Pueblo. I've passed this place several times and wanted to check it out. I'm so glad I did! Beautiful authentic street tacos on tiny corn tortillas. We got the carne asada and a mixed plate, with several different types of meat street tacos. Us being new, the person who took our order was helpful and explained everything, as well as our choices. You can tell this is a family restaurant. Lots of love in the making. We ended up with plates featuring fresh made chips, guacamole, rice and beans, and a variety of tacos on small delicious corn tortillas. All of the meat was spiced and cooked well. There's a salsa bar with many choices, all home made. It's an informal, family atmosphere, where you sit where you like, with a generous roll of paper towels, to help with the delicious drippings. If you are visiting Pueblo, please give this place a try. I'll be bringing my family here when they visit...
Read moreThis place is brilliant!! They're doing takeout or delivery only so keep that in mind.
We got the street tacos, loaded nachos, barbaqued meat tacos with tomato broth and the enchiladas plate.
The broth is the best thing I've had in Pueblo so far. Warm, tangy, kinda spicy and very comforting, esp in the cloudy weather we have currently. The barbaqued tacos were a perfect blend of meat and cheese in a firm taco. Delicious. Comes with a roasted chili and onions and cilantro on the side to add even more flavor. Amazing!! This will be my go to order for future visits.
My friend's street tacos were good. She got al pastor for the meat and it was pretty good. Not as good as mine though :) excellent guacamole and comes with nachos on the side.
The loaded nachos were really loaded and really really tasty.
The enchiladas plate was just about ok but since this place is known for their tacos, that's wasn't too surprising.
Definitely recommend them, esp for...
