It was literally just thrown out of this establishment for sitting in their bar and drinking soda.
They tried to say that I was forcing someone to smoke marijuana, which I’m like this is the state of Colorado. I don’t think that’s possible. I think everyone here pretty much smoked marijuana. The people that I was smoking marijuana with had their own marijuana so I don’t really know that that’s forced marijuana smoking situation .
Then she tried to claim I was taking pictures of people in the club. I took one picture the entire time I was there, so I am very, very upset that I was thrown out of this bar, I was embarrassed and made it look like a creep.
I literally did nothing, but apparently you’re not allowed to take pictures of anyone in public on Halloween at a goth night…..
I was completely unaware .
I thought we were in a public place dressing up in costumes I thought maybe actually people might want their picture taken considering the occasion.
Included is the picture that they threw me out over. I’m not sure that this picture is worthy of being thrown out of a club over but here it is.
One of the most embarrassing experiences of my life and I’ve been around for quite some time
Even in the reviews, if you scroll down, you will see more pictures of people dancing and more pictures of people hanging out at this bar then I took to get thrown out.
Nice try I was vaping in front of your door. Yes, I was vaping nicotine.
I smoked marijuana on the side of your building to try to be polite but yes, I did hit my vape in front of your door.
That is a picture of a bar. Because I am visually impaired I will occasionally snap a picture of people that I’ve met and talked to so I can try to remember their names and their faces.
Then you would probably say well then why don’t you ask permission well that’s very simple. It’s because it’s very embarrassing to be as blind as I am and have to take a picture of someone’s face to remember their name and face.
For a place that hosts Goth night and prides itself in its community atmosphere I find it very disturbing the amount of grief and shame I’m receiving for my disability.
EDIT
"The owner tried to justify my illegal ejection by claiming a 'sober bar' policy. I have added photos (in this review) that show the BIOHAZARD SHARPS CONTAINER at the front door. I have also added sworn screenshots of patrons confirming that smoking cannabis is a regular, accepted practice outside the building. The owner's policy is proven to be a hypocritical, malicious lie. The reality is simple: The owner would rather accommodate dirty needles than a disabled patron with VSS. This is rooted in bigotry...
Read moreEthos is such an asset to the community. It’s a comfy, safe, space to explore art, enjoy some mock tails, and see a show. They’ve already done some amazing things and I can’t wait to see what their future holds ❤️
Edit: I already have five stars because I knew y’all were awesome, but I gotta update!
This place is AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ASSET to the Pueblo community. It enriches the neighborhood with art while providing a safe space for anyone who needs one, and who respects the rules of the house. Ethos has a sober bar and is one of, if not, the only place I can go and know I don’t have to worry about alcohol ruining my night.
The Ethos is invaluable to Pueblo and I hope to see more folx go and enjoy their art classes, their themed nights, their sober bar with amazing, hangover free, mocktails, their educational resources, and just overall fan-freaking-tastic place.
I see so much hate towards those who use substances, I’d hope the community could see and respect how valuable a sober place to have fun, play arcade games, etc. is. Those of us who’re in recovery desperately need to be able to have fun in a sober environment and alcohol is unavoidable everyplace else in Pueblo you can do...
Read moreMost of the bartenders aren't friendly to me. They pride themselves on being all inclusive and tolerant but I don't feel welcomed. The only ones I got genuinely good vibes from was Emily and a 15 year old intern Jayminson. They are genuine, welcoming and displayed outstanding costumer service. I will give them one last try but only if Emily is working there. I understand we all have bad days, I don't want fake smiles, but I've been there three times and each time the service was poor. You gotta understand, people don't go there to get belligerent drunk and forget their problems. People go there to socialize so you got to be sociable as a bartender in a...
