Jia Jang Mian - Best jiajangmian in Pullman! This is usually the kids favorite cause it is a bit sweet and easy to eat with fork. This is not spicy at all. Shen Jian Bao - It has beef and chopped onion inside and this is using oil to cook. Under part is crispy and upper part is soft. This is good for a bit sweet soy sauce (they will serve it with Bao) Guo Tie - this is also made with same beef and chopped onion like Shen Jian Bao. This also has the crispy side and soft side. Easy to eat! Xiang Gang Chao Main (HongKong Noodle) - Crispy noodle with some vegetables and delicious sauce(special soy sauce, I guess?). You can add seafood, beef, etc. Most of Guangdong, Xianggang ppl love to eat! Niu Rou Tang Mian - soft beef on top, veggies, steamed egg, noodle (under). Soup makes this noodle best. This is pretty famous noodle in China, Taiwan, and HongKong. Unfortunately, they do not deliver, but you can take out the food. I do not have the photo of Xiao Long Bao from them, but they are the only one who makes great Xiao Long Bao in Pullman. Please go earlier to try them cause the restaurant makes only 6 or 7 boxes (steamer) for the day. So far, this is the best Chinese Restaurant for me in PULLMAN. [But pretty...
Read moreThe first impression when you walk in is, "Is this the DMV?" Seriously. It is just a white box with a couple tables. Ok, not a big deal.
I tried to order a lunch special with fried rice instead of white rice. Every other Chinese place in town can handle this. Just charge a couple bucks more, right? Nope. The waitress just could not handle this. I was like, "Just take the white rice, and throw it out, and slot in some fried rice on the plate," but nope. I ended up getting a dinner sized plate of fried rice "on the side." That would have been fine except the waitress seemed so confused that that was what I wanted, so we went around on it a couple of times.
Turns out the fried rice is super bland! No flavor. And the seafood part of the Seafood Fried Rice was just a couple shrimps and a couple tiny pieces of fish and a bunch of these squid things, which tasted like nothing and chewed like rubber.
The General Tso's chicken was great though. I loved how crispy the chicken was, even though it had a bunch of sauce on it. I would definitely get it again, but skip the hassle of ordering fried rice with lunch. I should be happy with boring...
Read moreI don't normally make a point to write negative reviews, but my experience here unfortunately stood out to me. Went here with a few friends looking to try out a somewhat new Chinese restaurant, and was quite disappointed.
The pros: The food was good, especially for Pullman standards. You will not be disappointed by flavor.
The cons: Service was slow. This was not the end of the world, until drinks were forgotten and parts of our order never arrived. We had to go up front after many minutes of waiting in order to request our check, which was not the case for the table next to us. Finally, the food (although good) had very small portions and I left the restaurant $13 out and still hungry.
The proverbial nail in the coffin though was when, after the shortcomings in service we're addressed, no apology or effort to remedy the situation was offered. Our meals were not discounted in the slightest, despite not receiving any rice at all.
Bottom line? I will not be returning and I do not recommend anyone else does either, unless you are just simply desperate for good Chinese food at the cost of service and possibly part...
