Guadalupe's — Restaurant in Purcell

This is clearly a family-run business, which is the type of business I love to recommend and promote; however in this case I simply can’t. The service was dismissive and bordered on outright rudeness. After we asked two questions which clearly annoyed the wait staff, we were afraid to ask anything else. We had enchiladas, tacos and tamales. The food all unfortunately tasted like something frozen and thawed in a microwave. The refried beans tasted like out of a can and I would bet money the “chili” on the cheese enchilada was Hormel. We had three adults and three children in our party and we were seated immediately. When we asked for water for everyone to drink, the wait staff looked very offended and said that if we ordered a drink (tea or soda), the entrees would only be half the price listed on the menu, but if we didn’t order drinks (or only ordered water we would have to pay full price for the entrees. (What??—never heard of this in a restaurant). I asked if the children could have milk for their drinks and they said no — they had no milk and proceeded to tell our kids they could have sprite or coke without even looking at the parents (our kids don’t drink soda with meals). When the food arrived it was barely luke-warm. They only brought five plates for the “set up” (chips, queso, salsa —also tasted like from a jar—no tortillas) even though there were six people in our party. They never checked once to see if the food was okay, if we needed anything like a tea refill — not once, even though this is a very small place and we weren’t even fifteen feet away from the front desk/employee area. Truly disappointing, especially for a small town restaurant I would love to recommend. This place unfortunately, is one we wish we had driven...

Worst place to go to. I have been coming to this restaurant for over a year multiple day of the week not only on Tuesdays where they have half priced all day. It was great until today when I come in and got the worse service anyone could possibly get l. I worked in the food industry for 13 years from a server to a bartender to management and when a restaurant only offers 1 queso and 1 salsa to each person I feel that it is ok that if I ask for more I shouldn’t get question by saying “you want more” and get mad keep in mind this is the owner of this restaurant doing this comes back with extra queso and salsa and I respond by saying if you have to charge me for it go ahead it’s not a big deal and your still mad about it and say you don’t understand how much cheese is costing right now when I ran 2 Tex mex restaurants which shouldn’t be my problem in the first place if it’s to expensive to give away then stop making it easy as that until prices go back down not everyone goes to a Mexican restaurant for just the chips and queso. Then when my drink in little under halfway gone watered down and I ask for another one and you take the glass and just go top it off with the drink being watered down I can tell you when I took a drink when he came back with what was supposed to be a brand new drink it was so gross. So after that happened and he wouldn’t bring me a new one because I confronted to him about what he did and looked so embarrassed that I wouldn’t notice. I will never be back at this restaurant ever again and I don’t advise anyone...

I should've given this little great spot 5 stars long time ago,but will now fur sure!😀After yesterday on my birthday where went with wife&some family to go try a different place we'ed never been yet called"Bravo's Mexican Grill"where I had decided on there"Big Wiskers"whole fried fish🤔Which on there google maps menu was $11 but once we got there real price was $14 as well as everything'else was atleast a few dollars more,unbelievable🙄But so I never got to try there whole fried fish sense we spent 30 minutes waiting for a waiter that never come take our order in a place that wasn't packed at all🤦‍♂️Why eating some truly flat&thin type bland nasty chips with cold queso untill😒we finally just got up&left there!😑And than ofcourse decided to come little further into Purcell where we already knew there truly was some great Mexican food&good service from where we should a went to begin with,Gaudalupe's!?😃And surely agin they did not dissapoint,real chips with hot cheese&great salsa for starters!😃With some quick&always friendly service!So I asked the waiter if they had a whole fried fish?🤔&He said well no not on the menu but😊we can surely make you one if ya want!?😃&They did exactly that&it was absolutely great,loved it!And for only $11😊price I had originally planned to pay elsewhere&almost got jipped.But so everyone'else loved there food as usuall!❤Can't beat it,will surely never go anywhere'else for Mexican food agin&learned my lesson,Guadalupe's is where its at!👍5 Stars all the way from...
