We recently held a wedding at Farm 12, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations—especially considering the high price point.
The pricing on the venue’s website was not what we expected. Many crucial details were only revealed weeks before the event, and in our case, some were disclosed just one day before. When you book the venue, it gives the impression that everything is included and that the service will be exceptional. Sadly, that was not our experience. Numerous elements were disappointing and fell far below the standard one would expect for the cost.
We had requested at least one refrigerator space to store our desserts, but this was not included in the price we paid. When we inquired about storing just one cake on the day of the event, we were told the refrigerator could cause excess moisture that might drip onto the cake if it wasn’t covered, potentially affecting its quality.
Additionally, every small add-on came with a separate fee, causing the final price to escalate significantly.
Most notably, the Greenhouse space is simply not equipped for events and, in our opinion, should not be rented out in its current condition. There is no air conditioning, and ventilation is practically nonexistent.
“Some walls of the greenhouse that could have been opened for airflow were kept closed in an attempt to retain cooler air, which unfortunately eliminated any ventilation.”
The two large fans provided were both visually unappealing and ineffective. While the outdoor temperature was 73°F, inside the greenhouse it felt closer to 100°F—humid, stifling, and extremely uncomfortable.
The heat inside was even worse for guests seated farther from the entrance doors, where the fans were plugged in. Not having a jug of cold water with ice available inside was a big concern for everyone. We requested a jug of iced water to be placed in the greenhouse, but were told it would only be provided on the day of the event outside, near the main reception entrance—not inside the greenhouse. When we asked again the day before the event if extra water could be placed inside, we were told they could “definitely” make that happen. Unfortunately, that never occurred. Even if it had, the cooling measures were still far from sufficient.
Due to the unsafe heat levels, we had to cut the ceremony very short and leave much earlier than planned to avoid the risk of anyone becoming ill.
As for the reception, it was acceptable, but again, many things were not included as expected. The menu options were limited, and small additions quickly increased the cost.
When we walked into the reception venue on the day of the event, the staff had set the tables with centerpieces, plates, and utensils, and were in the process of steaming the cloth napkins. However, the tablecloths were very wrinkled, which unfortunately took away from the joyful atmosphere we had hoped for. When we asked if they could also be steamed, we received a firm “No” and were told this was not something they do.
During the reception, some guests asked for paper napkins. We politely asked the staff, but were again told “No, we do not provide them.” This was frustrating because some guests are simply not comfortable using cloth napkins, and others find them unappealing due to concerns about how well they were cleaned.
The table for the bride’s cake was also uncomfortably high. The bride had to stand on her tiptoes and stretch her arms upward just to cut the cake—and the cake itself wasn’t even tall. It was awkward and uncomfortable, and it felt like the staff did not consider the bride’s height. In our opinion, they should have table height options available for both shorter and taller couples.
While Farm 12 offers a beautiful setting, the lack of preparedness, unclear pricing, and discomfort in key event spaces made our special day far more stressful than it...

Food quality: 4 of 5 Price: 3.5 of 5 Service: 5 of 5 Facility: 4.5 of 5 Ave score: 4.25 of 5
My wife was looking for a place to celebrate her birthday and in doing so she came across a restaurant that caught her eyes. It's a place close to where we live and although she decided to celebrate it with another restaurant, she wanted to try it out.
Restaurant Review: ¼ (4.25/5)
Food Quality: 4/5 The food at this restaurant was of excellent quality. The dishes were prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in flavors that were both delicious and satisfying. We started with bread rolls and calamari for appetizers. I had a wonderful salmon dish that was delightful and tasty while my wife had the beer baddered fish that was also amazing. the overall quality of the food was commendable, earning it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
Price: 3.5/5 1/2 In terms of pricing, this restaurant falls into the mid-range category. While the prices were not exorbitant, they were also not the most affordable. Considering the quality of the food and the dining experience provided, the prices were reasonable. However, it would have been nice to see a bit more value for the money as our bill was just under $100. Therefore, I would rate the price at 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Service: 5/5 The service at this restaurant was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were quick to address any requests or concerns, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for me and my companions. The promptness and professionalism of the service staff truly stood out, earning them a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars.
Facility: 4.5/5 1/2 The restaurant's facilities were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The ambiance was inviting, with a pleasant decor that created a favorable atmosphere for dining. Lovely layout... we opt for the outdoor tent. One downside was a lot of flies while waiting and during our meal. The seating arrangements were comfortable, and the overall layout of the restaurant was well thought out. Despite this small issue, I would rate the facility at 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Overall, the restaurant provided a delightful dining experience. The food quality was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the facility was comfortable. While the prices were slightly on the higher side, the overall experience justified the cost. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. With an average score of 4.25 out of 5 stars, this restaurant certainly deserves recognition for its quality...
Read moreUnfortunately Farm 12 did not live up to the hype. Mediocre food, non—existent service. It took 45 minutes for us to get our food. We never saw our server again after placing our order and even had to get up and walk to the bar counter to ask for coffee refills and jam for our biscuit. The “jam” I was given was more like a cloyingly sweet strawberry dessert topping. On to the food. I think it’s best to say they shine with their baked goods; croissant and biscuit were outstanding. Wary that we wouldn’t like the gravy, we got it on the side & that was a good call. The sausage had a rubbery texture & the gravy had an unpleasant fennel taste. The scrambled eggs were insulting. I believe they were “liquid eggs” from a carton as the flavor, color and texture reminded me of what is served at a holiday inn express buffet. Bacon was very good. My eggs Benedict was average, the hollandaise was either broken or not prepared properly as it was translucent and lacking in any flavor. Missing the slight lemony touch that I would normally enjoy. Canadian bacon tasted too smoky & was very chewy. English muffin had an unpleasantly sweet favor. Eggs were poached nicely. The potatoes were worse than ore-ida, they were dry, stale and had zero seasoning on them. My peachy fizz drink was lovely. We could not even get our server to bring us the check. We decided to get up and ask to pay up front at the same counter we walked to ask for a coffee warm up, and the kind staff person said he wasn’t allowed to cash us out, but he’d try to flag down our server. I looked over at our table and they were immediately clearing our dishes. We hadn’t even paid yet! So we sat back down as they wiped off the surface & we asked if they could get our server again because we needed to pay. She came to our table, slapped down our receipt that had a QR code and said “you can pay it yourself” and she then walked away. Normally we try to give restaurants more than 1 visit to decide if we want to come back, but between the food and service received today we...
