This place is absolutely magical. Huge eye roll for those debating whether this is a “park” well it’s definitely not a playground and by its proximity to the business next door I am assuming it’s part of the spring aesthetics for their event clients. I’m happy that it’s open to the public and just a delightful place to spend time strolling through the blooming lupines while enjoying the buzz of the pollinators. My review of course is based off the lupine blossoms, I do not know what it looks like at other times of the year. It's not a park. It has a long way to go, albeit the potential is high. Currently it offers a couple things (only one of them meaningful imo) and those include the strangest most symmetrical and paved/open walkway (which doesn't stretch one mile), a swinging bench and a great view of the corridor from Puyallup straight to Mount Ranier.
That's it... it has only been developed through phase 1, and I'm curious about the upcoming timeline since Puyallup is currently spending almost two million dollars to rennovate one bathroom...
Read moreSmall but well kept and a beautiful location right next to the farm restaurant and a great starting spot for the foothills trail. Not much in the way of facilities, but the raised bench has a truly spectacular view of Mount Rainier on a good day.
Sumner locals be sure to support your parks and the extension of the foothills trail and park programs! They help maintain our parks and fill this one with flowers each spring, but also are deciding to expand and connect some trails which could give us a larger park and parking space here and 20 miles of additional trail...
