Food & drinks were okay. Our waitress Kelli had only been their for two weeks and was struggling to stay on track I guess you could say. We ordered a mixed drink and a beer, and the drink came out completely wrong. I've been drinking them for over 10 years, it's my favorite drink and I could tell off the first sip it had been made with another juice and liquor. She apologized said she's new and made me another one after I explained to her what the drink consistent of. After that we ordered two dinners, one of the dinners was wrong when we got it. Instead of sending it back we just told her about the mistake and decided to shared our dinners and delt with it. After dinner we felt like ordering two more drinks. Well, she forgot one drink after asking what kind of tequila he wanted in his Long Island... and brought him out another beer. So we said nothing and decided to leave after that happen. I came to Coops over 10 years ago when I turned 21, and even though I've lived in Quincy my whole life, this was only my second time here, and it wasn't the greatest experience. I've been a waitress before, and a hostess, and a bus person, and I can understand with being new and learning as you go, but that's why you have note pads as waitresses..to write down what people say so you don't forget. She seemed nice and was apologizing to us, but I would probably suggest her getting another job unfortunately. We most likely will give it another shot, hopefully it will be better next...
Read moreI felt like we were being racially profiled. My husband and I were visiting friends in Boston and came here to get a few drinks before going back to where we were staying Quincy. My husband and his friends are from Eastern Europe and as soon as we walked in, we were met with nasty looks from the blonde waitress and bartender. She immediately gave us a nasty look and said "If you want anything you'll have to get it from the bar because we're closing and the kitchen is closed." It was 11 at night and they closed at 1:30. Apparently they decided to close 2 and 1/2 hours early and we should have psychically known that. We all just got a couple of beers and sat down at a table talking and minding our business. The entire time we were sitting there, I could hear the waitress talking about us to the bartender and another customer, saying things like "There's like 9 of them." "Why do they have to come here." I felt like we were being racially profiled and have NEVER felt so mistreated and uncomfortable in my entire life. They made us feel so unwelcome, we didn't even finish our drinks. I love Massachusetts, but I actually wanted to go home after that experience. I never post reviews like this because I work in a customer service field and sometimes we have bad days because we're human, but this happened a year ago and I'm still angry about it every time I think about it and that's why I took the fifteen minutes to search for it on my Google maps to post...
Read moreNice little pub vibe. But I order take out a lot here and it has been steadily declining. First, there's a service fee and yet there is also the expectation of tips by the people who simply hand me my food from the kitchen. And tonight the gentleman who brought me my order was clearly upset about not being tipped. Too bad. Ask your boss for the tip since he upcharges every take out item .75 cents. Tonight we got there to find one of our orders couldn't be fulfilled and they did not bother to call us back to let us know. Then there was the expectation we would just do a separate order and simply wait. They should have called us about the issue long before we arrived to pick up the order.
Then they can't seem to get an order right either. Everytime we order a burger for my wife we always emphasize well done "No pink" and twice it has been undercooked. She also always gets regular fries and tonight the fries order wasn't correct either. As well, the nachos were seriously dry and clearly had been sitting out longer than the 25 minutes between my call to order and getting them home Just disappointing and unfortunately we can no longer patronize this establishment. We pay too much money to eat out to have consistently bad service and wrong orders and...
