El Patron — Restaurant in Quincy

Not one to submit negative reviews but the food here was extremely bad. The cheese was grainy and powder like with a bad taste, ordered nachos and they came with so much grease, I poured it off and almost filled a salsa bowl. Didn’t finish the food it was so bad. Dry chicken, canned hamburger, very disappointed. Never had Mexican food that was this bad. Absolutely everything was from a can. Better food at a football concession stand. Wishing them luck in making some of the food “homemade”. The dining room is very hodgepodge of random furniture and painted walls and cheap decor. Nothing matches, reminded me of a classroom with torn booths and random things on the wall from yard sales. Do not go here if you want to impress or enjoy a Mexican night experience. So I’ll be honest to start out with the sever was very rude gave us cold food and the wrong drinks and the first order was wrong we spoke with who I assume is the manger and she said she was so sorry she got us the right food and made sure that everything was ok before she went on that is what makes the service so incredible how she took care of us if it was not for her I would not have given this review so if your reading this just know we want to thank you so much for taking care of the mistakes and making it right to us because of you we will be back for sure...

The food is amazing. No complaints there. Large portions, fresh and flavorful. The ambiance left something to be desired. Way too brightly lit and sparsely decorated. And the service was odd. Good job refilling drinks, making sure we had everything, but the non spanish speaking waitress had a lot of trouble taking our order. She didn't seem to understand the spanish names of the food and we had to explain our orders. She came back several times to verify and then mixed up some of the plates. It was frustrating,...
