I’ve been living in Boston my entire life and have NEVER heard of this place until today. My sister told me about it and we had to go. We have been craving fresh authentic seafood for a while. Upon arrival it was sort of busy but they have a great system which helped move lines along. I mean it’s your basic clam shop in Quincy, walk up to counter and order and then wait for food to be cooked. We had met a worker named Victoria ( who was so amazingly helpful, kind and so down to earth) along with the food she made our experience that much more top tier… Okay let’s get to the food deets… I ordered a seafood plate which came with calamari ( rings and tentacles ), shrimp ( huge), fish not sure what kind but by far was DIVINE ( wanna say haddock or cod), scallops, clam strips ( which I opted out b/c that’s not my cup of tea, so they gave me extra calamari and shrimps. All this was paired w/fries delicious which all cost around $42 well worth it. I noticed someone else had onion rings which looked out of this world and boy oh boy I tell you I’m glad I did a side order because they were sooooo good, pricing around $8-9. Very fulfilling so much I was able to share with others in my party. The food was NOT salty at all or greasy, and the best part was, it’s fried to perfection 👌🏾All that was needed was ketchup, hot sauce (gotta have it😌) and tarter sauce ( my preference). Victoria recommended the coleslaw which was 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 happy I took her advice. Now I’m a person who is extremely picky about coleslaw, but not here it’s superb and pairs well with the fish.. My daughter doesn’t like seafood at all, so she got the steak and cheese sub ( sorry didn’t get pics but trust me looked great) the bread looked like it was freshly baked and she too said the meat was seasoned well ( not salty). Her meal came with a bag of chips and a pickle for about $16. She wanted my fries which worked out well since I got onion rings.. So when ordering if you want fries tell them while ordering and opt out the chips, they probably will up charge but again well worth it… The Shirley Temples seemed to be a hit so thats what we ordered and my daughter loved it but to me it was a bit sweet. ( I’m used to drinking water) my sister got an Arnold Palmer in which she really enjoyed. Forgot to mention lots of different options to choose from even healthy ones like broiled seafood, salads, fresh clams and lobster rolls etc.
Atmosphere: Depending the weather they have tables with little cover tents to sit under and eat. Scenery is beautifully because the beach is in the background. Again depending on time you go you will have the sunset to look at while eating. But if that’s not your thing no problem there’s plenty of eating tables inside, which were very clean and big windows to still enjoy the sunsets and views of beach. Bathrooms were available for use as well. In addition per Victoria they have a bar out back w/ live band music ( you will have to check on social media because the days/times vary. [I did see people ordering drinks inside as well]
All in all this place is a 💎 and will be my new favorite seafood spot!

Read moreDuring my visit on 8/27/25. I purchased a box of wholebelly clams. Which l thought was overly expensive. But brought them anyway, because l saw someone eating them next to me. So l figure l would buy some. Only to be very disappointed. The customers clams wa cooked ro peefection. (Golden Brown) and mines must have been cooked in dirty grease. (Stay Awake PPL) look around when your at others food when you at this establishment!! I confronted the staff to asked her why my clams had no bellie and we're burnt/overly cooked. She replied and said, because it was the end of the season. So l told her to return my money she then took the clams gives them to the cook and tells him to fry some (LARGE) ones. At this point l wanted to go off on them. My girlfriend ordered strips.Which is what mine were, but they charged me for burnt wholebellies. SMALL was 34.00
My girlfriend doesn't eat WHOLE CLAMS. So she didn't know what my complaint was. So when we're leaving she asked the woman that was eating her food was her wholebelly clams LARGE". She responded with a (BIG YES)... My friend knows l eat the best of seafood and can cook it too!! So Tony's Clam Shack is not a great seafood restaurant anymore for me anyway. They can kick rocks and feed that trash to the people down in Florida that don't know about wholebelly clams. They should be cooking the same way for each and every customers that walks though that door. I work hard for my cash. They stopped working to satisfy all customers the same way....read between the...
Read moreThe place was not packed when my mate and I went in to buy drinks (large Raspberry lime ricky and a alcoholic root beer float) while waiting for another friend to join us. Total came out to about $20 and they gave us a buzzer. Fine, as to be expected for the spot. Our other friend arrived 18 mins later and ordered his food and a beer. $7 for a plain burger (did not come with anything besides two buns and patty) and $10 for a high noon pineapple. His food and drink came out with in minutes. "Okay maybe it's a complicated mixed drink" I thought to myself. We got in line and to ask the about our order. They took our receipt said it's being worked on now. The buddy we had waited for to join us had at this point had finished his drink and hamburger. Moments later they had to ask what size was my mates beverage was and what was my drink (while they had our receipt) 🤦♂️. We finally got our drinks 50 mins after we put in the order. How do you forget about us when you have a buzzer system? Is the buzzer system a placebo? I want to be understanding and but 50 mins for two drinks accompanied with what I felt like were rhetorical questions is unacceptable. Taking my business to the Clam Box or Sullivan's near Castle Island. If you're traveling from out of state and want a treat, this place ain't it.the last straw was that the drinks were not even good. Maybe the restaurant was good in the past, but...
