Rapids Chicken — Restaurant in Racine

Woke up feeling hungry and pretty stress from the weather. And my mother told me about this place and how it was the first Halal restaurant in the state of Wisconsin. Considering that it was only a 5 minute drive I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. So I decided to come here. My first thought was the surprise on how big this place is and it even has a drive thru! The employees were super nice and caring. I got the chicken wrap and a 2 piece chicken combo. And I was also surprised on how affordable it was! 25 bucks for all of this food was a real deal. And when I got to my car to eat the food, the chicken was so flavorful and fresh and very crunchy. The chicken wrap had full of flavor and crunch from the chicken as well. Fries were good and even the coleslaw was tasty compared to others that I had. It was so good that I had to go in and get more to go and to see the smile on the people working there put even a bigger smile on my face. Please if you are in Racine, come here and you will...

I wanted to support new & local business, but with Rapids Chicken I just can't. (See pictures)

1. Called to place order for delivery. If you order a 2 piece Chicken, you do not have an option of the 2 pieces. Default leg & thigh. But I was able to convince them to let me pay an upcharge to pick my 2 pieces. No problem.
2. Delivery driver arrived. Before I could even get out hello, and while reaching for my food, he asked, "Can I have a tip?" Excuse me??? ,"Yes, can I have a tip? We didn't charge you for delivery." I paid with a card. I don't have cash on me. Do you have a receipt for me to sign? "No, so can I have a tip?" No sir, you cannot! As I said, I paid with a card.
3. Lastly, but most importantly, the food was terrible. It was old. All of it was old. Including the dessert. Chicken was dry & fried in old grease. Batter lacks seasoning. Mozzarella sticks were stiff. Cookie so old it crumbled when I touched it. Thoroughly...

Decided to try this place out tonight since they're new & wanted to support a local business. We ordered the 8 piece fried chicken combo & they were super nice when I asked to swap cole slaw for something else offered extra roti or fries. We ended up swapping it for fries. When I arrived I was a bit early but the restaurant was very clean & the owner & those working were so nice & welcoming to my boyfriend & I. Offered us a sample of their rapids chicken wing & it was very good! Seasoned very well & so flavorful. Their fries are so good and crispy and they give you the option of a few different seasonings to add to them! Now oh my GOD the fried chicken 🤯 it blew my mind! Soo good. Hot and fresh. The crispiest crunchy breading with a very delicious and unique taste seasoned well and so juicy and the roti complimented the meal as well. Everything is so delicious and the owners are so friendly! I can't recommend this place...
