Nestled in Raeford, North Carolina, Las Palmas Mexican Grill delivers an inviting ambiance paired with authentic Mexican flavors. On my recent visit, I set out to explore the restaurant's offerings, service quality, atmosphere, and overall dining experience. Here’s a comprehensive review of my visit. Atmosphere and Ambiance From the moment you step inside, Las Palmas exudes a warm and welcoming vibe. The decor showcases vibrant Mexican artistry, with colorful tiles, rustic wood accents, and festive murals reminiscent of a traditional cantina. The restaurant’s layout is spacious yet cozy, accommodating both small gatherings and larger groups comfortably. Soft Latin music plays in the background, enhancing the cultural immersion without overpowering conversations. The lighting is just right—not too dim, yet cozy enough to feel intimate. The overall cleanliness of the dining area and restrooms was commendable, reflecting attention to detail. Service The service was attentive and courteous. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted and seated by a cheerful hostess. Our server was quick to introduce herself and offer recommendations, demonstrating a solid understanding of the menu. Throughout the meal, she checked in at appropriate intervals without being intrusive, ensuring our drinks were refilled and that everything met our expectations. Food delivery was timely, with appetizers arriving within 10 minutes and entrees shortly thereafter. The staff seemed genuinely invested in creating a positive dining experience, which added to the restaurant's charm. Food and Drink The menu at Las Palmas is expansive, featuring classic Mexican dishes and some regional specialties. Here’s a breakdown of what I tried: Appetizer: Queso Fundido The Queso Fundido was a delightful start, featuring creamy, melted cheese blended with spicy chorizo. Served with warm, freshly made tortillas, the dish struck a perfect balance between indulgent and flavorful. The portion size was generous, making it great for sharing. Main Course: Fajitas Texanas The Fajitas Texanas, a medley of shrimp, chicken, and steak, were presented sizzling hot. The proteins were perfectly cooked—juicy and tender with a nice char. Accompanied by sautéed onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes, the dish offered vibrant flavors. The sides of rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo complemented the fajitas beautifully. Notably, the tortillas were soft and fresh, enhancing the overall experience. Specialty Dish: Chile Relleno I also tried the Chile Relleno, a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with cheese and smothered in a rich tomato-based sauce. The dish was well-executed, with the pepper’s smoky flavor pairing harmoniously with the creamy filling and tangy sauce. Drinks: Margarita and Horchata Their house margarita, served on the rocks, was a refreshing highlight. It struck a perfect balance of tart and sweet, with just the right amount of tequila. The horchata, a cinnamon-spiced rice milk drink, was smooth, lightly sweetened, and served ice-cold—an excellent non-alcoholic option. Dessert: Tres Leches Cake To finish, I ordered the Tres Leches Cake, a moist sponge cake soaked in three types of milk. It was decadently creamy without being overly sweet. The whipped cream topping and drizzle of caramel added a delightful touch. Value for Money Given the quality of the food, service, and ambiance, Las Palmas offers excellent value for money. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable, aligning well with the overall dining experience. Overall Impression Las Palmas Mexican Grill stands out as a top-tier dining destination in Raeford. It combines authentic flavors, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere to create a memorable dining experience. Whether you're in the mood for a casual lunch or a celebratory dinner, this restaurant is well worth a visit.

Ordered tacos, Al pastor and head. When I arrived home to eat I had received 2 barbacoa tacos instead of head tacos. Called and the girl that took my order was told to tell me that head meat is not easy to get, they have to mix it with barbacoa hmm🥴. They were not mixed, it was barbacoa. Since when do you mix head meat with barbacoa ??? Really?? Don’t offer something you don’t have.

I had a total of 4 street tacos (2 Asadas, 2 Carnitas) and for the first time Sopa De Pollo. Both dishes were delicious 🤤

My husband and I have eaten here for at least the last 6 years almost every week. We order the same thing almost everytime, though I occasionally switch it up. The service has been wonderful since day 1! The food is the best I have eaten for the most part. When they moved and were closed for a couple months, we were not able to find anyone who's food compared to theirs. My husband doesn't want to eat Mexican food anywhere else. Love the new place and all the staff are amazing! Everyone has a bad day once in a while, maybe explains the negative reviews, but please do not let this deter ypu from trying this restaurant. You will not be...

Have been going to las plamas for years but since opening the new location it has been horrible. Tonight I had the last straw and will not be coming back. Ordered my daughters chicken tenders and rice and they ended up giving us chicken tenders and fries. I told one of the ladies that work there about it and our waitress basically said we didn’t say that. They gave us some rice but had the nerve to say they had to charge us for it because we already got the fries. No you messed up. Take my order back and give me what I asked for. Needless to say we will never be coming back and our waitress got a zero tip for basically...
