Waffle House — Restaurant in Raeford

I went to waffle house 02/20/2024 for lunch just to find a roach in my food. When i asked for the manager there was no manager in the store at the time and just their grill operator and the waiter. I showed them my plate of food and they mentioned “I told him they was out , you should come third shift they really be out”. I asked when should I return to speak to a manager and they told me your best bet would be to come in the morning 02/21/2024. Fast forward, I went to Waffle House this morning and just so happen the manager and the general manager were there, I asked to speak to one of them. I gave the general manager the back story , and he said “well unfortunately we were closed on 02/19/2024 to spray because other people had concerns for them being in the store so you came the day after……” i look him in the face and say okay” he then says “but the good thing is the spray is working , the bad thing is you happen to catch one of the last ones”…………. Y’all i was so disgusted with the response , I just said okay...

Came in with friends. Ordered food as usual. It, sadly, took over an hour for them to make our food. Turns out they had a ton of call in orders. We were not told how long we had to wait or that how many orders were ahead of us. The place wasn't packed. It was just all the call in orders. We waited over an hour and decided to leave but was stopped and told to wait just a while longer. So we did. Food was delivered and was good.

I went up to the bar to ask for ketchup. The lady told me that I should have said something to her when she was at the table for condiments. It was the older white lady who I think was the manager. I didn't say anything back from her rudeness as I understand how hard customer satisfaction jobs are. It did leave a sour tone in my head while eating and my friends were not pleased with how things went. Won't be going back there. I'm sure the place is fine actually. Just wrong timing for our group. Happy...

My wife and I were visiting from Florida and decided to get something to eat there. While sitting there eating we over heard a couple of waitresses talking about how the management was taking hrs away and that some of the cook's were only working one day a week. Let me ask this, how in the world can anyone survive off one day a wk and only 4 or 5 hrs a day and yet continue to hire more people??? How would management like it if their hrs was played with? I work in a restaurant as well here in Florida and everyone gets their hrs. If this is how waffle house treats their employees then know this, I will never work for a waffle house especially this one and personally speaking I think management or whoever does their schedules should learn how to actually run a restaurant. My husband and me will never visit that...
