We had just driven from Tallassee, AL to Gadsden, AL & we had not ate all day so we were hungry. My boyfriend loves Jeffersons! I ordered a regular hamburger, a salad with iceberg lettuce & even had our server which was a young man ask if they had iceberg lettuce & they said that they did. I asked for the salad, iceberg lettuce with extra tomatoes. My boyfriend got the bunchie burger with the egg done? When they brought my salad it was with Romaine lettuce & I told the server that I wanted iceberg lettuce? He came back & said that this lettuce was iceberg lettuce & I told him no, it wasnt? So then a blonde headed woman came out & told me not to argue with her that it was iceberg lettuce? So I took pictures of the lettuce & put it on Facebook & everyone that commented said that it was Romaine? I ate the salad anyway, taking out big pieces of Romaine? My boyfriend said that his hamburger had a runny egg on it but he was afraid to say to say anything because of the hateful blonde headed lady? I got the name of the owners & I was going to contact the place where you can review places but I'm not going to until I talk to the owners? I just wanted iceberg lettuce & they had iceberg lettuce but I guess they didn't want to redo the salad? My boyfriend was upset because the egg was runny but after the woman was rude to me he didn't want to complain? We just wanted what we ordered & enjoy our meal, was that too much to ask? Their food is usually great but that evening it just wasn't? The So I couldn't give Jeffersons a 5 star rating Sunday. I would like to speak to the owners & see if we can fix it because we both like eating there! Also, the blond headed lady told me that my dog couldn't sit on the bench? Read moreWent here on Jan 3rd with my bf and his best friend, who usually times how fast we get service at any restaurant we go to. We walked in and no one said anything to us. We found a table and waited. About 3-4 minutes someone handed us menus and told us a waitress would help us soon. We already knew what we wanted so we just waited. As we waited we seen a mother and child walk in, sit down and immediately a waitress walked up to them gave them menus and took their drink order. About a minute later the waitress that had been walking back and forth in front of us, who never acknowledged us, walked up to the mother and child and asked what they would like to drink. In total we waited 10 mins and just decided to leave and go to Jefferson's in Gadsen instead. It's totally out of the way for us and an additional 10 min drive. As soon as we walked into Jefferson's in Gadsden we were greeted and told to sit wherever we would like. Within a min or 2 of sitting we were given menus and another 2 mins our order was taken. Our waiter brought us drinks while we waited for food and when food was taking to long he got us refills. Food came out while he was handing us refills. Our waiter Deo was the best and made sure to check on us periodically. I come to Rainbow City to see my bf and everytime he has taken me to Jefferson's in Rainbow City it's been a bad experience. Read moreOrdered wings to go and when my GF arrived home she objectively had the wrong order. We ordered double dipped wings, they were just regular wings. I called and asked for compensation and the manager said they do not give out refunds and unless I wanted to drive the wings back up and have them re-made she couldn't help. I said I had spent the whole day driving for my job, and that the jeffersons drive was a half hour to and from my house, to add another half over plus waiting for the cooking was too arduous, and just wanted some monetary compensation. She said the new store policy is 1, zero monetary refunds and 2, only remakes if you're present. I offered to text them a picture of the wrong order in addition to todays newspaper to demonstrate this just happened and she said she couldn't help me.
The idea that the store objectively messed up my order and I'm not entitled to a refund is nuts. So I won't be purchasing food from here ever again.
By the way future customers, the manager also said the owner told her this was new policy because they were having too many returns lately. Well maybe that's because the orders are wrong? If you're having excess returns, and not providing refunds, clearly your business is bad, by basic business standards.
