Customer service was horrible!! The mixed brown skin dude with the wavy/curly medium length hair has horrible customer service with an attitude problem. STRIKE 1 when I got to the speaker I waited 3 minutes without being greeted. Not a "hello", "just a minute" or anything . I finally said "hello" and was told "go ahead". While placing my order he messed up what I ordered because he had a rushy attitude. Mind you this place wasn't busy at all . Only 2 other cars & me were in line. The wait was super long by the way. STRIKE 2 , when I finally got to the window I ask him to repeat my order, which he repeated back super fast cutting me off so I asked him to repeat it again because I didn't want to pay for something that I didn't order. I tasted my drink (sweet tea) and it was horrible and wasn't sweet at all so I asked for something in the place of it which he acted like it was a burden . STRIKE 3 When I finally got home & looked at my burger it was raw in the middle. So basically I wasted my money anyways. I waited in that long line for RAW food. I will not be returning. I rather drive across town to another cookout instead of having to recook a burger that I already PAID to be cooked. I definitely see why the ratings of this place is low now. This place is food poisoning in a tray & nobody has on hair nets. Just a gross establishment overall. This was around 2:00 am

I was in the area and needed lunch in a hurry. I went to the drive thru, and no one responded. I drove around to the second set of signs and was able to give my order. I asked for the $1.99 hot dog that comes with mustard and ketchup. It's not real beef, but it is cheap. I also ordered some onion rings for $2.69. I got my money's worth there. It was full of onion rings that the batter really clings to. The menu had some great looking food to choose from, like char-grilled hamburgers, a variety of chicken food items, BBQs, different types of trays or combos, and 40 types of shakes. cheesecakes, and drinks. At the window where I paid for my order, there is a tree to the right where I was able to observe about five large ducks resting beneath its shade. As you are leaving, watch out. One might waddle in front of the car. There are strict fines if you harm one.

I have been eating Cookout for literally two decades. I have always loved cookout and recommended others try it because it was good food, good portion sizes, at a good price. I used to get my tray for less than $6 out the door and it was plenty of food. Prices are going up and I can't fault them for that because over 20 years the economy has changed and prices go up. What doesn't work for me is portion sizes going down while prices go up. Today was the second time I felt like I got jipped on my sandwich. My last big double burger was the size of a McDouble and today my chicken sandwich basically had a grilled chicken tender instead of a chicken breast. Leaving 4 stars because the staff at this location was very friendly and service was quick. If the portion sizes don't go back up, my rating will go down.

If I could give this place a -5 stars, I would! Last night, I went in the drive-through, ordered my food, got to the window and was unpleasantly surprised at the insufficient amount of fries we had on our burger trays. We spent over 24$ worth of food, just for them to forget the order of chicken fingers. We waited and waited, the employees looked at the receipt and they talked. I wondered how long it would take for them to make a decision on giving me what I had ordered. One of my trays were supposed to be DOUBLE fries, but when I opened it up, it looked like just enough fries for a kid. We were justly unsatisfied and asked for a few more fries. They told us IT WAS double fries. I said no way, and I just spent almost 25$ for food and seeing how they had just wasted my time over giving me the chicken fingers I had ordered. The lady said she'd have to get a manager. Another boy comes to the window said his name is Joswé (pronounced HO-schway) and he said no that IS double fries. I said there's no way... I can see right through them to the foil on the bottom. It wasn't like I asked for another burger of a free chicken tender; heck, not even a whole another side of fries. A few more would have sufficed. INSTEAD, he took my tray, threw it on the counter and walked to the back with my burger. I asked the girl why did he have to take my burger (bc he took it out of my sight), she said oh he's gonna give you a whole new tray. He comes back with another tray with fries looking like a less amount than the first time. I said this can't be what I ordered. Needless to say, I didn't even request more fries on the other tray, I just settled for what he gave, but this tray wasn't for me, but for someone else I was giving it to. He then said, would you like your money back or you can call the number on the cup. I was appalled! I said ABSOLUTELY, I'll take my money back. Make it make sense, soon he would rather take back all the food (to throw away) AND give me my money back, RATHER than just satisfy a reasonable request from a customer??? So, he cost the company TWICE- the food was wasted (food cost) AND lost the company money (bc of the refund) over A FEW. MORE. FRIES??? MIMS🤷🏾‍♂️. Not only was the food wasted, but my time! In my company, this employee would written-up if not fired. This was a case of poor decision making and poor management. I get it; customers try to "get over" all the time, but you have to have empathy and discernment as a manager, which clearly, this manager had none. ALL...

I ordered a cajun fries and got a plain fry Cajun seasoning with only sprinkled on maybe two of the french fries that came in the whole bag I had also requested a pink lemonade for my drink and what I got was pink ice water I literally drove all the way back to cookout from the country and Garner to get my drink replaced when I got there I was told that they were out of pink lemonade and both machines which is something I felt like they knew when I ordered my drink or even when they poured my drink they could tell or should have been able to tell that that lemonade was much lighter than it should have been but I was served anyway and highly disappointed because that is my favorite drink nevertheless the manager allowed me to get a different drink when I returned but initially all of this could have been settled at the window if I would have just been told they were out of pink lemonade so not only did I spend good money at this restaurant I also spent more money in gas going to and from this restaurant twice to secure Cajun seasoning for my fries which I refuse to eat until I received the seasoning as well as a secondary drink to make up for the pink lemonade that was...
