The bar itself is ok, but I was double charged (and never signed the debit transaction). I paid with a gift card (visa) but they said they had to hold the funds on my bank card to start a tab. At the end of the night, I paid my tab with the gift card but see my debit card was also charged. I have a receipt that shows only one card transaction was signed. I never signed or authorized the debit card. I paid with a gift card for a reason. Now my account went into negative, I have to dispute the charge and pay overdraft fees. Thanks guys. Awesome service. Love it when Iām charged twice and have to dispute with my bank. Always fun. Iāll be bringing cash if I ever come again, which I probably wonāt and Iām sure you couldnāt care less about losing a customer.
MY update:
When a business owner threatens to sue someone over a factual review that doesnāt look good for your business practice. Yes... I was threatened with a lawsuit over my review. I even had to call the police to have Ted Dwyer stop harassing and threatening me over a factual review left on Google and Facebook. The police told him not contact me further so now heās doing it publicly.
I paid the tab I was given at the end of the night. Thatās the fact on the matter. Your company charged my other card hours later without my knowledge, consent or authorization. That is the actual fact of the matter and there is no discussion on it. I have literal proof I paid the tab I was given. End of story. I never ran 2 tabs... that makes no sense and is simply not true.
I will provide all emails to anyone who wants to see how Ted Dwyer (the owner) responded to my complaint of being charged on a separate card when I paid the tab I was given, in full, when cashing out my tab. Tedās email was full of excuses and lies. He changed his story 3 times. I have these emails and they show how emotionally unhinged he is and continues to be.
I would steer clear of this business... I certainly wonāt return. However if you do go, definitely pay cash because they donāt mind making unauthorized charges on a card you used to open a tab (so pay per beer with cash and donāt give them your card).
I also have a witness who was with me and can corroborate what happened.
Hereās the best part: WellsFargo refunded my money and I assume he was also paid. It was only $10.83 in question which isnāt enough for the bank to investigate (which I would have prevailed) so yeah... this is crazy but also kinda funny.
You canāt deny literal facts especially when someone has proof of them. Reminds me of an ex president we had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe first time I went here, I must admit I was a little put off by the sheer unhelpfulness of the bar staff in explaining what a few of the beers were like. The brown ale tastes like a brown ale. Wow, buddy.. jee thanks. He also acted impatient when I asked for tastes (umm, I had to after that lousy description). Thus, I would suggest that they teach their staff the ins and outs of each beer and up their customer service game. The ambiance during this night visit was .. a bit bright. too many lights to set a comfortable atmosphere. It was also go quite loud inside with their high ceilings and happy folks, but that's kind of the nature of such an establishment.
That being said, my second time visiting here left a much better impression. This time I went during the day, and the place was much more comfortable and chill. While I was sitting inside, I didn't feel like I was under a spotlight, for one. There are high top tables and normal height tables with benches and chairs as well. The seating outside is pretty sweet, with 4 old Ferris wheel bucket bench seats situated around a fire pit. There are normal and high tables on the patio as well, and picnic tables down in the fenced in 'yard' area. The bartender I interacted with was very pleasant!
Lynnwood Brewing Concern offers quite a number of different brews. This time they had a sour, in bottle, which I was stoked about. Bonus points to them! I was a fan, although the sour was 11 bucks for about 18 oz. Not the worst, but not the best price. When I did get the brown last time, it didn't strike my fancy. Maybe that's what the bartender was trying to say: it's nothing special, it's just a brown. I don't recall the 3rd type I had tried, and it obviously was not too memorable. For the location and outdoor atmosphere, I'll definitely go back. Hopefully there are a few more gems on the menu to discover.
Also, there is ample parking and food trucks from time to time (I would assume on all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family hosted an event here a couple of weekends back. We reserved a couple of tables and had a great time. The staff at Lynnwood is exceptional. The beertenders we had were phenomenal - the bar was busy and never would have guessed. I only knew one the names because he helped us reserve the tables the weeks prior. Bill. Tremendous customer service. He returned calls promptly, dealt with my needy grandmother with the patience of a saint and you could hear the enthusiasm and energy from his voice through the phone. He made everything so easy for us. That night he and Tray (asked his name before leaving), his counterpart, behind the bar, worked well together and just welcomed people to their establishment. They got busy and you never would have been able to tell. If I had a bar, I'd get these two to anchor it down. I made a point to write this review because a different group I was with went to a different establishment this past Saturday and it was horrible. Night and day difference than with the LBC crew. Often times, we as consumers, don't acknowledge great, top level guest services or customer service. I know I sometimes take it for granted. I won't again after our horrible experience at an area establishment but because it was so close to our LBC dinner and service, it really stood out. Great people skills are hard to find. I will be back, my family will be back and we appreciate the great beer at LBC, the ability to dog watch, and hope to have Bill and Tray behind the bar when we come in. Kudos to the...
