We've been dedicated Biscuitville patrons for many years but noticed the quality of the food at the three locations we normally stop at, had really gotten bad. We decided to try Biscuit Co., in Ramsuer, NC. It was my first time, though my husband ate there once many, many years ago. It was BY FAR THE BEST biscuit I've ever eaten at a restaurant. I got the steak, egg, and cheese; while my husband got a sausage biscuit and also a fried bologna biscuit. We both got hashbrowns; he got an orange juice and I got a black coffee. It took a bit to get the food because they made it all fresh. I'd gladly wait for food that tastes that good. The steak was tender. Seriously, you didn't need teeth to chew it. It was well seasoned also. Nothing like the greasy, styrofoam I've received the past several times I've gone to Biscuitville. In fact, Biscuitville steak had gotten so bad, I just stopped ordering it all together. But this place?? Man.... It was so good!!! The egg was fluffy, and the cheese actually tasted like cheese. The biscuit its self was buttery, flaky, moist, yet stayed perfectly together with every bite. My husband loved the sausage, and said it tasted like sausage was supposed to taste versus what other places are using these days. He also enjoyed the bologna biscuit as well as it had two pieces of bologna. The coffee was hot and fresh. Staff was friendly and actually checked the bag to make sure our order was correct and all there, before handing it to us and that's something you don't see at most places. It was very much appreciated!!! We went through the drive-thru so I can't speak on the ambiance or interior. It's obvious from the outside that it's an old restaurant but it had a 95.5 sanitation grade, so I'm assuming it was clean. Negatives: the sausage patty was very good, but it was way too small for the size of the biscuits, which are MASSIVE!!! The pictures don't do the size of these biscuits justice. Hashbrowns were actually tater tots but they were perfectly cooked and tasted good.
We will definitely make this place a habitual stop when we're traveling...
Read moreThis is the first time I've eaten at a Biscuit Company in many years because there isn't one near where I live. I got a breakfast platter which included two scrambled eggs, a gravy biscuit, deep fried hash browns and a meat of my choice, which was country ham today. My guest had the same platter, but with fried tenderloin.
Our food was generously portioned and came out hot. Two platters and two drinks were less than $15. I think it was a good value for the amount of food that we received.
My guest and I chose to dine in because the drive thru line had several cars in it. The tables weren't being wiped down between guests, but when I requested that our table be wiped, the cashier quickly got a wet cloth with some bleach solution and cleaned it for us. All other guests were wearing their face masks when they were out of their seats.
I wish I could give this restaurant five stars, but I don't think any guest should ever have to request that a restaurant to clean their tables... especially during a pandemic. I'm pretty sure that in NC, restaurants that offer indoor dining are supposed to be cleaning their tables between each...
Read moreI would give this place NO STARS if I could! Went into this business around 11:30 today. 2 men sitting at a table, had finished eating and were talking. Staff in back laughing and talking. My boyfriend and I stood back looking at the menu board when out from the back a heavy set angry looking woman came out carrying a dirty wet mop, by the looks of the floor she had already been mopping. She got right in front of us and sweeps that mop upward coming close to my head. She continues to angrily mop right in front of us, almost hitting our feet. We obviously were in her way and she was mad we were there. A guy finally comes from the back, kinda looks at angry woman with her mopping at our feet, ask us if we were ready to order. Boyfriend said to give us a moment and he said "holler when your ready" and walked to the back. We decided to leave. No way in hell I would have eaten there. NEVER have I seen such inconsideration, blatant uncaring for a customer. THAT woman, that angry ingrate needs to find another job. Definitely does not need to be working in a public place, especially food service with...
