Stopped by Apartment Cafe on a quiet Saturday just before noon, and honestly, it was a really nice experience. The place has a cozy and welcoming feel, with a chill vibe that made us want to hang around for a bit.
The staff (maybe the owner?) were super friendly and helpful. We had a few questions about the drinks, and they explained everything clearly and even gave us some solid recommendations. It wasn’t too busy when we got there, which made it even better for just hanging out and relaxing.
My SO tried one of their monthly specials, the Italian Wedding Cake drink, and I went for the Turkish coffee. We also grabbed one of their protein shakes. All of them were really good, and we just hung out for a bit enjoying the space and our drinks.
There’s a good amount of indoor seating, plus some outdoor spots too. Definitely feels like a place you can sit for a while and unwind. They do have food on the menu like paninis, pasta, and melts, but we just stuck with drinks this time. We’ll for sure be back soon to try the food.

Read moreApartment Cafe opened in July 2020 so they've been open for 1 year now. The owners actually live at the complex so you're supporting a locally owned and run business when you come here. I know the couple (Nora and Amir) and their son do work here. This café is located on the northeast corner of Foothill and Hermosa. The two downsides are that you can only enter when you're driving west on Foothill Blvd and parking is limited. They have a couple dedicated parking spots right in front. I was here on Friday around 7:45AM and was able to find parking easily. Logan was my barista and he was very friendly and easy to talk to.
The owners wanted to bring some European flair to the City which is much appreciated. The décor here is adorable; great for photo ops and of course for the "gram". They have indoor and outdoor seating. My husband and I have tried several of their drinks; specialty ones for the holidays and most recently I've tried their lavender and caramel lattes. Customer service is excellent which adds to...

This evening demanded the strong stuff, so I ordered a Turkish coffee. "Strongest coffee in the world!" Sounded just right for me at the moment. I had mine with just a touch of sugar.
Caffeine content aside, its dark roasted flavors were highly robust without any of the usual offensively bitter or acidic notes I'd expect from something like a typical espresso. Nothing but deep roasty flavors with hints of toasted nuts, chocolate, and caramel. I happily finished this little cup.
It also came with Turkish delight, which was, well... delightful! The atmosphere is tremendously cute, perhaps even too cute for the more macho among us. It feels very comfortable and authentic to the owners, though. A spot I will happily...
