Waitress Refused to Serve Water - Shocked and Disappointed at the Dining Experience at Broken Yolk in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca.
Our family recently visited The Broken Yolk in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, on 05/23/23 at 11 am, eager to celebrate my son's graduation and looking forward to a delightful dining experience. However, our expectations were quickly shattered due to the shocking attitude and behavior exhibited by our assigned waitress. Her refusal to promptly bring water to our table and her dismissive demeanor left us deeply disheartened.
Upon requesting water for our party, we were taken aback when the waitress insisted on knowing who specifically would be drinking it before she would serve it. Her emphasis on only bringing water to those who would consume it appeared unnecessary and created an unwelcoming atmosphere. When we inquired about her reasoning, she offered perplexing explanations regarding servers, further contributing to our disappointment.
What compounded the situation was the escalation of the waitress's attitude when we voiced our concern about her snippy questions and approach. It seemed as though she was determined to retaliate, leading to a frustrating delay of 20 minutes before we received our water and drinks.
As the unpleasantness continued, we voiced our dissatisfaction to the manager. Regrettably, matters only worsened from there, as our order was inaccurately prepared. Given the evident signs of retaliation from our original server, we requested a new server, hoping to salvage the experience. However, by that point, our discomfort had escalated to a point where we could no longer fully enjoy our time at the restaurant.
We left Broken Yolk in Rancho Cucamonga with a lingering sense of disappointment. It is disheartening to witness a restaurant that should prioritize customer satisfaction employ individuals who demonstrate such a lack of consideration for basic customer needs. The refusal to provide water and the overall disrespectful behavior of the waitress not only marred our dining experience but also exposed a lack of professionalism and respect toward customers.
Based on our personal experience, we cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment. The incident involving the waitress's refusal to serve water has left us with a lasting negative impression. We sincerely hope that the management takes appropriate action to rectify these issues and ensure a more pleasant dining experience for...
Read moreBroken Yolk delivered broken service! We were a party of 9, at the Rancho Cucamonga location. We have friends visiting from Florida, that we haven't seen for a few years. So we chose Broken Yolk, at the recommendation of a friend. This was our first experience. The heat was a sweltering 90 degrees and rising. We were added to the 10am Waitlist. We checked the table a few times, and were told that they were waiting on some guests to leave, that had already finished their meal. After waiting until 12pm, in the now 100 degree weather, we were offered a booth. Upon entering the restaurant, our party of 9, was escorted to a booth that would clearly not accommodate 9 people. When we asked if we could sit outside on the Patio, with the other guests that were in the Patio seating, we were told that the Patio seating was closed, due to the extreme heat. Yet, there were guests still seated, and had been seated for the entire 2 hours that we were standing outside of the restaurant. The Manager was called over, yet no one even attempted to right our experience. Needless to say, we made the decision to leave Broken Yolk. There are plenty of eateries that work hard to exceed customer expectations! We visited one less than 10 minutes away. The restaurant was busy, with a brief wait, as guests moved in and out of the restaurant. We will never return to Broken Yolk Rancho Cucamonga. Five of the nine people in our party, work in Customer Service and Leadership roles. It is very disappointing to see how little value is placed on providing an excellent experience for all guests at all times. This was a one and...
Read moreThis was my first time here and it was so disappointing! We were asked to give a name and phone number to be on the waiting list and they said it would be an hour wait for a party of 2. After an hour and half, we went back in to ask for an update. The host told us that we were the next party to be seated. So we waited more since we had already invested an hr and a half. Another 30 minutes passed so we went back to ask the hostess . The host said: "oh, for some reason you are not on the list!” Even though we received text confirmation that we were on the waiting list. We didn't mind the waiting, but the fact that we were forgotten was really disappointing. Then we were seated, we realize the seats were wet! We had to ask 2 people to come and wipe it off for us to be able to sit. We ordered some Mimosa flights and egg Benedict. The food came first, and of course, the food was almost cold! We had to remind them of the drinks we ordered (which usually you get your drinks first). There were lots of juice drops on the mimosa tray (just like they were trying to be fast, but sloppy). We were given plastic forks and we had to ask for silverware ( which was really strange). The condiments on the table had so many finger prints on it ( I think cleaning those is a necessary act during a pandemic). Our waiter, Gilbert was really nice and tried to make our experience better. As I mentioned earlier, this could've been a great experience, but it wasn't. And that was my first, and last time that I...
