Lantern Vietnamese Cafe — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

I went to Haven City and tried the Lantern Vietnamese Restaurant. They had a few vegan options that looked good on the menu and were really tasty when I tried them.

I recommend the Vegan Pho and their fried rice with tofu. My order got mixed with another order for the rice tofu dish but it was corrected quickly.

Their use of spicy is at a good level where you can add more if needed. The heat level for the soup was lower than other pho dishes that I’ve tried but it was good for me in the sense that I didn’t need anything in the bowl fully cooked since it was vegan. The veggies and tofu were hot enough and I could enjoy the meal faster rather than waiting for it to cool off.

I ordered a Banh Mi and let them know I'm allergic to jalapenos and asked they not put any in there Then I got my receipt which said "no jalapenos" When I got my order I pulled half of it out to briefly check to see if there is no jalapeno in there and I don't see any on the half I checked so I assumed there's none at all I ate the half that didn't have it and was delicious I started making my way towards the center of the Bahn Mi and sure enough the other half had jalapenos in there I just got over having an allergic reaction from and and started writing this review I just figured that if you add jalapenos you will distribute to the whole sandwich, not just half Note to self, check the whole sandwich...

Wow! This new place was so great!! The owner was very friendly and the food was delicious. We tried the pho, spring rolls, bahn mi, Thai tea, matcha tea, and Vietnamese iced coffee. The Pho brooth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The Spring roll peanut sauce was delicious and perfect with the rolls.

My wife tried Vietnamese coffee for the first time and she was very pleasantly surprised by how much she liked it. I already knew that I would enjoy it and it was great. The matcha is what it should be, and the Thai tea was yummy as well. So many good things to choose from... We'll...
