I visited this place on/around Memorial Day. The ordering process was great, the lady at the register, that gave Owner type vibes was very pleasant, and welcoming. After I placed my order, I walked to the side and decided to sit on the ledge of the window, as opposed to taking up a seat for someone that may want to eat in the restaurant. All was well until a man came to throw his food in the trash can, and looked me dead in the face and said nothing (that will become significant later). About a minute later, he approached the register and stood right next to the lady at the register, with his back towards me, WHILE she (the same woman that took my order) was taking the order of another the customer. Now, to me, as a Business Owner myself, that is VERY unprofessional, and not a good look to customers. It's one of MY restaurant pet peeves. Anyway, I ignored it. Then, the way he ultimately glanced at me, made me realize that he was in fact trying to block me from watching the lady prepare the sandwiches. Keep in mind, the main reason I was sitting there was as mentioned above. I said nothing. Seconds later, he walked about 2-3 feet from the register, glanced at me, and then came back in the same spot. This time, I moved over, because why would I want a constant view of your backside? Mind you, when I went in, there was one guy sitting at the table, who was very nice actually, and asked me if I wanted his seat. There was another guy that came after me, waiting in a seat to the back, and a few minutes later, another lady walked in (keep that in mind as I continue). At this point, the first guy at the very front table had left. Needless to say, the 3rd customer (the lady) that came in last, got her food, and as she was walking out, turned and looked at me, realizing that I was there before her, and said to me, with a look of concern, "What did you order?" I told her, we engaged for a few seconds, she frowned and said, "I'm sorry," as if it was her fault -love her. During our very brief engagement, that man that was for some reason being so passive aggressive towards me, walked up to the door holding the door open for her, saying nothing, as if trying to get her to leave so we couldn't continue to engage, but looking at me the entire time with a stare of contempt- why though? Anyway, at that time, and, ONLY at that time did the lady (the woman who took my order) say to me something like, "I'm sorry, we had bread issues, would you like a cookie?" I said, "No I'm good," so, then, she offered me a drink, and I responded, "No, it's okay, I'm fine." About 3 seconds after, my 2 sandwiches, yes, only 2, were ready. The "owner" looked at me with another attempt of pleasantry, apologized again, while the guy (maybe the husband/owner) held the door open, not as a kind gesture, but more as a, "Now leave" type emotion, with reluctancy and hesitance. Let's make it very clear that the entire time I sat on that ledge I said absolutely nothing, other than a no thank you to the gentleman who offered me his seat, and thank you to the lady who felt bad for leaving before me. I was actually in a slight daze of a stare lol, just thinking to myself. However, I was aware of that man's soft antics.
Never in my life have a had such a silent, awful experience. Perhaps he wanted to intimidate me, but it was an epic fail. Perhaps he just didn't want me "watching" as they made the sandwiches, I don't know. But, I won't mention the food prep. My family doesn't eat out much at all, but when I do, I am VERY observant. There is more I can say because of my professional background and experience in helping companies realize CUSTOMER worth. Let's just say, part of what I do is mentor high end Companies on how to deliver exceptional service to the ones, you know, who keep the "doors open and the lights on," the customers. Anyway, this is a long review, but it was MY experience and I hope NO ONE has the same experience, EVER in life. I am Extremely disappointed at Sourdough & Company, Haven and Lemon Ave., Rancho...
Read moreSourdough & Co just opened in Rancho Cucamonga on Friday 5/23/25. They are located to the right of Aloha Kona. We tried to order ahead on Saturday. Their online ordering system has been having kinks. After placing our order and paying, I got a notification that our order was cancelled. When we tried to place our order over the phone , no answer when we called so we gave up. We came in person to order the following day. (They said the system should be resolved now.) The interior was bigger than I was expecting and they have plenty of indoor seating. We paid $27.99 total for an 8” Turkey & Salami ($13.99) and a 6” Ham & Turkey sandwich ($11.99). My husband said he wished his sandwich had more meat in it and he should have added more condiments (mayo, mustard) since he only had the house sauce. We both thought the sourdough bread was really good. The bread had both good taste and texture. Customer service was also friendly. They also sell the sourdough bread by itself for $4.99. We will be back to try...
Read moreI went in to pick up my order was a 8-in pastrami and turkey sandwich. I was asked if I wanted it hot or cold and I told them hot. When I picked up my order and got back to work which is literally 2 minutes away, sandwich was cold and it was definitely not an 8-in more like a 6 inch or smaller. The quality is decent but to me it seems like it's just a glorified Subway. After much anticipation and excitement, unfortunately that part was short lived. I understand they just opened and are still working out all the kinks but they need to have better quality control. I think part of the reason my sandwich was called was because when I got there nobody could figure out where it was at and then they finally found it. I would also say they need better customer acknowledgment or greeting when customers walk in the door. I will try again in a couple months once they have all their...
