If you’re looking to dine somewhere that genuinely takes pride in the care of their customers for an unforgettable full package dining experience where you feel catered to in the highest regard & leave feeling truly satisfied & in pure bliss with a lasting impression, Mar’sel is THE place for you!
Karla has been an absolute standout & gem at Mar’sel. Her attention to detail is off the charts which sets her apart. She represents this restaurant extremely well with being so accommodating, outgoing yet highly professional, & in a league of her own. It’s all of the little things & she constantly delivers outstanding service. Her timing is always spot on & she goes the extra mile to ensure it’s an enjoyable experience start to finish without missing a beat.
No other restaurant has the same level of consistency with their ENTIRE staff being top notch from their kind & professional managers, knowledgeable bartenders, friendly hosts, exceptional team of servers, attentive server assistants & runners, & everyone doing their part, including the helpful kitchen staff & incredible chefs behind the scenes making such beautiful & delectable meals for a memorable dining experience!
Although yes, sometimes the portions lean more on the smaller side with a higher price point, the food itself is always very fresh & the chef specials are frequent enough to always make the menu feel new & exciting which also gets swapped out to accommodate what is best seasonally!
The view is obviously spectacular & stuns in any weather, you can taste the passion these chefs have in the cuisine prepared alongside a dynamite cocktail menu, the ambience is superb both in their outdoor & indoor section,, but really it’s the dedication of the Mar’sel team that makes this restaurant the best of the best in LA.

Read moreWe went here for mother's day dinner in the evening so that we could enjoy the views and the sunset. Although we had a reservation and multiple tables were open where we got seated, they still asked us to wait a few minutes before seating us outdoors.
My biggest gripe about this place is the inability to get a hold of someone during business hours. In booking the reservation, I must have called approximately 8-10 times with no option to leave a voicemail or to book a reservation online. Minus 1 star for that.
And after booking the reservation, we wanted to see if they would accept an emotional service dog, but they never picked up the phone, and we were forced to leave the dog with a sitter. (Their Yelp page states no dogs allowed.)
Once we were seated, the only other table outdoors was a larger table with TWO dogs. The manager said the party stated they are service dogs, but the fact that two little kids were running around with the dogs and making all these noises made it clear that they are not real service dogs. Minus 1 star for that.
We ordered one pre-fixed lobster 4-course meal (at around $145), which was tasty overall, but the actual half lobster was miniscule in size. It was about the size of a $10 lobster tail from Ralphs.
We also had one halibut, one John Dory, and one lamb dish. The halibut was the tastiest dish of all the entrees. The John Dory was tiny and overly salted. The lamb was overpriced for the two pieces served.
The best thing about this place (and the only reasons why I would ever consider returning) are the cocktails and the dessert. My wife had the tequila special, which was fantastic. I had the 20-year port, which was a great deal at $12. Let's strawberry panna cotta and chocolate pot...
