Great American Craft Bar — Restaurant in Rancho Santa Margarita

Walked in on a Saturday. Never been here. It's a new place- kind of a bar, kind of a high end liquor store. We were eager to check it out. No one greeted us. Stood at the bar looking at a menu when a blonde bartender came over, proceed to act like were invisible (no hello. No I'll be right with you. NOTHING) while getting something under the counter. There was no way she didn't see us. No one approached the rest of my party as they looked around the shop area, either. Let me preface this all by saying, it was NOT busy. For a place as new and expensive as this place, you'd think they'd make you WANT to come in. WANT you to feel welcome. As it was, we walked out, feeling like they didn't want our business. Great craft cocktail bar and liquor store that uses small batch spirits for their cocktails. Great kickback vibe. Love coming here to get a real good cocktail made properly and taste delicious. Hundreds of small batch whiskeys, bourbon, and other spirits. Great place to hang out with friends and play some board games. They have several popular board games, so you don't need to bring a game.

You can do whiskey tasting, and on some nights, they have e a spirit distributor sampling a variety of spirits.

They don't serve food but offer a few snacks like popcorn and pretzels. You can bring food in or have it delivered, which is what we have done and many others do also.

Store is split with 1 side being a bar and the other being a bottle shop. The bartenders were extremely friendly and offer great suggestions. I had a few different amazing Old Fashions, and 1 was smoked with a large smoker. I guess you can call the decor "American" haha, though it did seem very random in terms of the time era. There are various board games available for you to use. My party went at the end of a trivia night, and it appeared fun! The only thing was it was soooo quiet when the teams were putting down their answers so it was kind of funny/awkward. Nonetheless, would definitely come back again and...
