Friday night flights! I’m going to spill the beans on this awesome speakeasy type bar that was recently recommended to us! 📢📢📢 Last night we graciously borrowed our friends’ kids to babysit our kid and then we borrowed them to go on a whiskey adventure with us.

How to enjoy a kid free night @greatamericancraftbar: Step 1. Let your jaw drop to the ground and casually walk around all the beautiful bottles of craft bourbon, whiskey, and other spirits in a bar with an ambience you didn’t know you needed. Step 2. Grab a large enough table to fit your friends and your bourbon. (It’s okay if you call the bourbon your friends too) Step 3. Choose your whiskey, order a flight, and start your adventure. They bring all the bottles over to you and their awesome service includes a brief introduction of everything you ordered as they give you the cutest mini goblets ever! Step 4. Send the husbands to order a variety of authentic Mexican food at the equally impressive and delicious @elfenix_carniceria to bring back and soak up some of that alcohol. Did I mention part of the charm of this place is the ability to bring in your own food?! Step 5. Eat food and chill. I have no pictures of the food because I inhaled it but it was delicious and so worth the lack of pictures. Possibly the best steak quesadilla I’ve ever had. 🙌🏼

My favorite pour of the night was the high proof @augustakydistillery. I loved being able to try my first @threechordbourbon and the 12 year was fantastic! I also really enjoyed my pours of @heavensdoorwhiskey, @daviesscountybourbon, and @brokenbarrelwhiskey. This place was amazing and once my recently ordered @femalewhiskeysociety tasting journal arrives, I’m planning on spending some more time there for my weekday lunches while tiny human is at school. Solely in the name of research and trying to better myself. 😉 If tasting delicious drinks is a result of that research, so be it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I would highly recommend both of these places if you have the opportunity! It’s been a while since we found a fun new place we instantly fell in love with, let alone two in one...

This place is an absolute scam I placed an order from them online at they have forgot to ship it to me and have failed to communicate what happened or how they were going to fix it. I spoke to several different people within several different departments and they all keept on telling me conflicting stories and making promises that they failed to deliver on. Ultimately I got my order 5 days later without any tracking information, thankfully I happened to be home to sign for it or it wouldn't have been delivered.

I purchased a bottle of whiskey for a friend out of state and had it shipped, and they never received the bottle after “4 failed attempts.” That’s funny because my friend works from home and never saw a Fedex truck. Could be because they live in a brand new neighborhood, I guess.

However, I called GACS and it seemed they didn’t really care. I was told I would get a call back to update me, and I never did. A couple weeks later, I received and email saying I can pay $20 to have it shipped again or PAY A $20 RESTOCKING FEE and get a refund. This place blows, and looking at the other low ratings, it is obviously in the norm for this to happen when shopping...
