Sam's Saloon & Grill — Restaurant in Randolph

Was visiting the area and we decided to go here for Dodge County’s #1 fish fry. The four of us arrived and sat down at 5:30pm. Took about 1/2 hour just to get something to drink and they forgot one drink. They said it would be about an hour for food and we understood and placed our order.

By 7:45pm all we received were a total 2 glasses of water for 2 of us, a total of 3 drinks for the other two and an appetizer of cheese curds which were good at least.

2 hours in we decided to just give the person at the bar the money for what we drank and the cheese curds, cancelled the dinner order and left.

We will never even try to go back. Service was terrible. Over 2 hours to only get cheese curds and had to actually go get some of our own drinks at the bar because they didn’t have enough waitstaff.

Unacceptable 😞

Due to making Best Fish Fry my husband and I decided to take our grandson, his wife and their 2year old here for dinner on Friday. We were there for 45 minutes before our food order was taken. There for more than an hour and a half before we got our dinner. People around us came and went. All this with a 2 year old. At some point they said they were out of the potatoes we ordered and had to order a different potatoes. When our dinner came I had to get up and get our silverware. No apology or explanation. I understand things happen, people don't show up for work etc. And I'm 68 so I've been going out to dinner for some time, but this was a whole different level of bad management. And there were...

Arrived at 7 pm waited over 10 min to get a drink. Place was not busy . Fish was good however, only had fries or potato salad left to order . We both received the bread ends and no coleslaw which waitress responded that they are out , it is " sucks" ( her word) but at the end of night they always run out of food ! Server stated they served over 130 people last Friday so aguees we don't count anymore because we got there at 7pm but Restaurant serves until 9 pm. Hate see what's left at 8:30 pm ?
