If I could give negative stars I would! Today is mothers day. Expecting it to be busy, we called when they opened at 11 to make dinner reservations to secure a spot. Whoever answered the phone didn't have a clue what was going on and ended up putting the phone down without placing it on hold and we could hear conversations going on in the background. Mom spend a solid 5 minutes trying to get their attention to no avail and hung up and called back. Again, the person answering the phone had difficulty taking the reservation and had to place her on hold. We arrived 5 minutes before our 6 o'clock reservation time and waited at an empty check stand. Mom informed the "hostess" that we had a reservation and she immediately went into a song and dance about how she worked an early shift and wasn't supposed to be there but was called in because they didn't expect it to be so busy...and the gist of the story was that NONE of the days reservations were transferred over to the evening shift and the restaurant was seated and if we still wanted to eat there we'd need to wait an hour. No apology! NOTHING! I was so outraged at the egregious customer service I left shaking. I couldn't believe how rudely she treated us, like we were an inconvenience to her. I will NEVER eat at a Ruby Tuesday and I have a big mouth and will be sure lots of people know about it. Clearly this place is mismanaged, 2 people couldn't take reservations, they didn't know how to put a phone on hold, they lacked the ability to transfer information, and couldn't even train staff that apologies go a long way. This was prime time on Mother's Day. What kind of manager wouldn't think it would be busy? Again, points to poor management. Nearly ruined our evening as everywhere in town was already busy and with a toddler we weren't able to wait. Fortunately, Outback got us in right away. I gave them a brief synopsis of what had happened and they gave us the royal treatment. Now that's management...clearly trickled down to their employees. That's a place we...
Read moreThis is by far the worse Ruby Tuesday's we have ever eaten at. My husband and I had dinner here Sunday night (8/20/17) at around 7:30. It was busy, which we can expect on a Sunday night, but we were seated right away. We both ordered the Wild Berry Lemonade which was so bad, we couldn't drink it. It clearly was just the lemon concentrate with a berry puree added. We were told it was this way, because the bar makes the drinks and this was how it was kept in the bar. I have had the lemonade before and know this isn't how the lemonade is served. We both ended up asking for the Raspberry Tea instead which was better.
We both ordered the Chicken Fresca 3-course meal; he with the salad bar, baked potato and zucchini and I with the ceasar salad and mashed potato and we both ordered the Key Lime cake with Blueberry Capote.
The chicken was delicious as was my husbands zucchini and my mashed potatoes. His baked potato was overcooked slightly and had too much sea salt, which made it nearly inedible. I had to ask for my ceasar salad which actually didnt come until I was nearly done with my meal. The salad was poorly made as it has very little ceasar dressing and no cheese and only a lonely crouton. You could clearly tell that the person who made it didn't know how a ceasar salad was to be made.
It took some time for our desserts to come (it took 15-20 mins) and once they did, we figured out why; they were partially frozen 😡, so we only got to enjoy part of it.
I felt bad for our server as she appeared to be overwhelmed and unsure of the menu. Even though the meal was mostly terrible, we felt it wasn't our servers fault and left her a nice tip, which we hope she didn't have to share.
Unfortunately we won't be back when we visit the area again. We don't know Rapid City well and Ruby Tuesday's was next to the hotel we were staying at. After a long drive we were hoping for a nice meal, unfortunately we didn't get that. I hope this review will be seen by management to make future improvements with the kitchen...
Read moreI hadn't eaten here in years but needed a no line wait establishment since it was Father's Day. Where do I begin hmmm well a few weeks ago my Mother ate here and found the restaurant to be very understaffed and mistakes were made with her meal so fast forward to the next convo she and I have...she warns me think twice about eating there the service is terrible. Nonetheless I still decide to take my Dad there for Father's Day Dinner. First problem strikes: we ask server for pints of bud light she says "what's a pint?" I say it's the smaller 16oz glass; she says ok I'll get that and return. So yes she does return with 2 beers problem is they are the tall n huge beers.. she sets em down says enjoy and walks away having no idea she messed up our drink order...On to food ordering We each get Ribeyes medium rare mine came medium and there wasn't a single grill sear mark to be found on the steak quite frankly it didn't resemble a Ribeye at all and it seemed to have been cooked by someone who's never grilled a steak in his/her life but i Continued to eat this steak which shoulda been taken to the Kitchen and tossed away; start a new one. His was cooked fine. Now onto the sides woo-hoo now the fun begins rubs hands together. I ordered broccoli and a fully loaded baked potato. Server brings me corn and mashed potatoes in place of what I had originally asked for. I'm easy I like all the mistakes she brought so I decide to just not say anything and enjoy my meal. My Dad also wanted broccoli yep he got the corn too brought to him by mistake. All in all the food was good even though the only correct item was my dad's steak done temp...everything else was wrong to include the beers being twice the size of what we asked for. Our waitress was very courteous very nice buuuuut I'm beginning to wonder if maybe she has difficulty hearing when background noise is present? All in all the meal was good just kind of a goofy Lil mess up...
