THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE.... I highly suggest avoiding this Sonic in Rapid City. We were passing through from out of town, ordered two Sonic ice-cream blasts & let me tell you, we were excited because where we come from we don’t have a Sonic so whenever we travel this way we make it a point to make sure and stop to support Sonic.
Started at the kiosk, the Cashier came on and told us to “pull through the Drive through & she would be happy to help us there.” Said with the most angry attitude I have ever heard come out of any server.
Got to the drive through and the server came on with “what can I get you?”
(No.... hello, hi, welcome to Sonic...NOTHING.)
We ordered our two blasts and got to the window, She opened the window, shouts the amount and after giving us our card back gives us our Ice creams & slams the window closed.
Once again... no thanks, have a good night, not even a smile to end the transaction.... very disrespectful.
In fact... I am quite sure if she could have thrown them at us.... she would have.
I will not be supporting this Sonic ever again. I cannot believe this is how you treat people who come to your establishment for an experience.
If I could have posted Zero stars I would have. I do believe corporate needs to know about the staff that are running this establishment as I am sure they would not agree to you treating customers this way at all. I did call the number on the receipt for complaints and it went to an automated “cannot take your call at this time” voicemail. I will continue to try and get ahold of someone about this, not for me but for your future customers who do NOT deserve to be treated this way when they come to eat or get a treat here.
There are NO excuses for treating people...
Read more9/1/22 I usually get good food from this location but I would like to talk about the one time I didnt. I was in the drive through and ordered a cheeseburger along with some other things. It took longer than usual but the guy at the window was very polite and thanked me for my patience. As I drove away I grabbed my burger and instantly noticed it was somewhat hard. I stopped the car to check it out and the bun was a rock and the cheese not melted with the patty obviously old and cold. I drove back through the window and talked to the same gentleman who apologized sincerely for the bad burger. He assured me they would make a new one which was all that was needed for my contentment. Shortly after he showed up with a piping hot delicious burger and told me they talked and want to give me a refund. I assured them there is no need as I really appreciate the customer service and promptness when they realized a mistake had been made. To me as a consumer that's all that really matters. The young man shook his head and said "listen, we want to give you a refund because we feel it's the right thing to do. That burger should have never left the window. Please accept it". I nodded, took the refund, and told him that I was very happy with the transaction and would be writing a review. 5 stars for customer service alone and to whomever the Manager on duty was that night kudos you have earned my business but more over the young man at the window is grade A+. Good hire on that gentleman and I hope he carries that same energy to wherever his career path takes him because it is what...
Read moreSome of the worst drive-thru service that I've ever received. I pulled in with 2 cars in line ahead of me, waited about 5 minutes for the car in front of me to have their order taken, got up to the box to place my order and waited almost 10 minutes to have somebody take it. I gave them my order, they repeated it back, I confirmed, then pulled up to the window where they gave me my beverage and took my money. Waited for another several minutes for my food while I could see at least 3 people inside standing around, and was finally given my bag of food only to see that I was missing my fries. I asked the person at the window about the mistake and was told "you didn't order fries." I explained that my order was repeated back for accuracy when he pointed out that I wasn't charged for them. I asked if I could still get them, and he replied with "you're gonna have to pay for them and we're gonna have to make more." I then left without the fries because I felt I had wasted enough time on the poor service. I understand the struggle in the service industry right now and I have lowered my expectations substantially because of it, but there's absolutely zero reason to give such poor service to anyone if you're going to choose a job in the...
