I eat at numerous Dairy Queens when I travel for work . Today I spent the afternoon/evening with my son and his family. We all wanted ice cream after a nice day and chose this dairy queen before we parted . We got there just before 9:30 and washed up in the restroom, then ordered. after we placed our order the girl said that they just locked the door and that we were the last dine in customer. we sa at the diing counter to enjoy our ice cream and about 10 minutes later a very rude lady walked up and said that she didn't mean to be rude but the dining room had closed 15 minutes ago and we would have to go outside so the cleaning lady could clean. well she was rude and the cleaning lady was very pleasant and had been cleaning around us. When we moved with a messy 3 year old outside to finish our ice cream, the person that cleaned our counter was not the cleaning lady, but the rude lady who apparently wanted to go home. soon after going outside, my 3 year old grand daughter wanted something to drink and my son told her we couldn't get her a drink because they had kicked us out. She started crying and I gave her my water. Then she wanted to go to the bathroom and we again had to tell her that we couldn't because they had kicked us out. I stepped outside to greet the rest of our group and had the door locked behind me. At which point, part of my party was inside waiting to have their order taken and the rest of us were locked out. We did end up being let back in and able to place our order. However, please let your closing staff know that we got the message loud and clear that they did not want to take our order. The fact that the customers ahead of us, who appeared to be friends of the employees, physically blocked the line did not go unnoticed. After our order was taken, they sat inside so there were not enough seats for us. As soon as we moved outside to sit, they did also. We won't make that mistake again. Next time it is after 9, we will get Frostys instead. And you need to make your online presence reflect that the inside closes at 9:30pm and only the drive thru is...
Read moreThis DQ used to be great but new owners took over and this DQ has to be the worst in the area. Don’t waste your money here! Employees need training and proper etiquette classes. They are very rushy and rude, if they acknowledge you at all. My last few orders have been wrong, missing items, and sub par at best. There are numerous reviews pertaining to blizzards; not being properly mixed, consistency, and toppings…I can attest that I’ve also experienced the same issues.The owner should have to forfeit his franchise rights until further training or sell to someone more competent. It’s sad to see this business failing the community that supported it for many many years.
