Me and my fiancé visited the Raynham location and it was awful...we waited almost 30 min for a table which was expected so whatever...we finally get seated...the waitress came over appeared knowledgeable about the new drinks and apps and what not...she asked for our drink order and since we already knew what we wanted we had her put in our entree order at the same time, no apps or anything....about 40 minutes later our food finally comes...now mind you there were 2 parties of at least 15 each so I get it it may have taken a little longer, I was a waitress before I know how it is...but then we get our food, my fiancé’s steak was rare, now we get our steaks med rare but I mean the thing was sooo red and he couldn’t even cut it that’s how rare...he HATES to complain but we had to...so we told the waitress there was no apology she just said she would have them take it back and have her manager come over...meanwhile my food which you could tell had been sitting out in the kitchen for a while because it was barely warm when it arrived is getting colder because I felt bad eating mine when his got sent back...it takes another 15 min for the new steak that STILL wasn’t cooked as much as he would’ve liked but it was more edible than the first...just as the new steak arrived the manager comes over...again no apology and literally says “oh I heard you got your steak the way I like to eat it” like excuse me?!? First of all no one cares how you like your steak...we ordered it the way we wanted it and you manage a steak house and your staff is supposed to have cooking steaks down pretty well I would hope, but if things were to be sent out under or over cooked, things happen I get it but there is supposed to be an apology or something more than what we received especially since we’re paying almost $30 each for a steak...nothing is worse than when you’re paying crazy money for food and it takes forever to arrive and it when it does arrive it’s not the way you ordered it and will have to wait even longer...we got our check...the waitress got a more than generous tip only because we didn’t want to wait around for our change we just wanted out, she saw us leave and didn’t say anything to us like thank you, have a nice night nor did the 2 people at the front desk...👎🏻
In conclusion, we won’t be going there again, it was the worst experience we’ve had at Longhorns and We will be sticking to the Longhorn in Wareham where I’ve NEVER had an issue with waiting too long for my food, food being cold, under cooked steaks, or poor...
Read moreThe best possible experience. I mean I was waiting for the ceiling to fall in or something, because everything went so well. I dropped off my party at the door and parked, by the time I walked in they were already seated. We had a personable friendly server who was prompt and attentive. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and had a cool and fun Texas decor. We ordered drinks that came out quickly, followed shortly by bread and butter soon after we placed our order. We ordered the spicy chicken rolls as an appetiser, they came out in a timely manner as we were enjoying the bread and they were crispy and flavorful. Soon after finishing the appetiser our salads came out and they were great ( I know that a salad sounds simple but you may be surprised at just how many restaurants get it wrong) this may seem overkill but everyone in my party mentioned how good the salads were, from the cut of the vegetables in the garden and the good flavor of the dressing to the strangely soft yet crunchy croutons, freshly shaved Parmesan cheese and perfectly coated lettuce in the Cesar Salad. Anyway on the the main course. I ordered the porterhouse Steak with Parmesan crusted four cheese macaroni. The steak was cooked perfectly, amazing flavor with a great char, the macaroni and cheese was a decadent decent into a cheesy paradise. My wife and daughter ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken with mashed potatoes. Tender, juicy chicken with a Parmesan sauce that tasted amazing, served with velvety mashed potatoes with a really good flavor. My son loves ribs however he was reluctant to order them here, this being our first time so he ordered chicken fingers with French fries. The chicken was crispy and juicy with a flavorful batter that seemed to be hand battered. The fries were good aswell. He regretted not ordering the ribs not because the chicken wasn't good but because he was so impressed with everything else that he figured the ribs would have been great aswell. The only slight down note was at the end of the meal my daughter wanted to try some chocolate cake and icecream dessert but due to supply line issues it was not available at this time. ( I was kind of happy because I would have exploded if I ate one more bite.) I can not recommend this place any higher. Great food, service and atmosphere. 5 out of 5 stars and only because I couldn't...
Read moreMy family went to this location on Sunday, March 3rd, and we weren't happy with our experience there at all, which is frustrating because we've liked them in the past. First of all, the silverware we got was dirty, all 3 sets! The server luckily was kind enough to replace them and check the new silverware to make sure they were ok. So we know we're starting out not so great...
My daughter orders the kids steak meal (she's 8), my wife got chicken tenders and I got steak tips. My daughter loves mushrooms, so she got a side of sauteed mushrooms. While we were eating, she spits something out and it's this dark wad of what looks like dirt or some type of plant material. She said it tasted horrible! (please see the attached pictures that show this wad of dirt/plant material).
I brought it to my server's attention, and she was kind enough to relay the message to the kitchen, as we thought it was a clump of dirt. She returned the mushrooms to us and said that the cooks claimed it was a clump of seasoning. I bit into it, and it wasn't seasoning. It definitely tasted earthy, most likely whatever the mushrooms are grown in!
My daughter had gotten sick afterwards, but luckily it doesn't seem like anything that requires a doctor visit. But this is absolutely unacceptable. I even wrote a note on my receipt stating that the clump of material they said was seasoning was definitely not!
I contacted Longhorn twice about this, and got no response. I got no response from the Raynham location at all, only the headquarters that told me they were contacting me.
I'm completely disgusted by this experience, and it's heartbreaking because before this incident, Longhorn was my favorite place to eat.
I gave it two stars because our server was very nice, and it seemed like her hands were tied as to what she could do for us regarding this issue.
I don't want anyone else getting sick, so I felt compelled to write a review. I hope they are more careful in how they serve their food in the future, because clumps of dirt or plant material that isn't food does NOT belong in a...
