Hy-Vee Market Grille — Restaurant in Raytown

My husband, grandson and I went to the Raytown HyVee Market Grille for dinner Friday night. I waited for someone to take my order at the counter, no one ever came to the counter so we sat down at the table. Still no one came. I was never acknowledged by the bartender who was stuffing his face behind the bar so my husband went up to the bar in hopes to get some attention from him and he continued to stuff his face. When he turned around he walked right past my husband did not acknowledge him in anyway shape or form And went to the counter where I tried to order like I was supposed to and rang someone out. I confronted him and he informed me I was supposed to order at the very counter that he was at so I informed him I stood there waiting for him or someone to take my order and nobody came. I advised him I in fact looked at him several times trying to get his attention while he was eating behind the bar and he never acknowledged me. As my husband, grandson and I were walking out he had the audacity to yell out have a great night. I complained to the Hy-Vee store manager who took my name number and complaint and said he would have the market Grille manager call me immediately. Well it’s been 24 hours since the incident no one has called. My husband called and asked for the manager and he was placed on hold and he finally hung up. Most of the time I have a good experience and I can't fault the entire restaurant for one bad waitress. My son and I went in for a lunch around 2pm so they weren't busy and I had to get up several times to get the waitress to refill our drinks, get boxes, and pay. During our meal the waitreess came out cursing and talking to the hostess loudly abour her poor day. Thank goodness my son had earphones. There was nothing done I will not return with my young son with wait staff who can't control themselves. While in was there a party of 9 walked out, because no one came to seat them. The service was absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! After 20 minutes of standing at the host stand without being acknowledged, I was sat at a table and went unnoticed for another 15 minutes. The waitress then came to take our drink orders which took an additional 15 minutes. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a food establishment. The workers were talking amongst each other and totally ignoring all the customers. One customer had to go to the bar and make her own drink.
